Hello all. I'm Alex. From Moscow, Russia. I'm 30. First got into superstars while studying in uni in England. Got my first pair in about 1998. Had numerous pairs since then. Currently I have a small collection of 4 pairs and I'm wearing 2 more pairs regularly. So that's about it. Anyone else from Moscow here?

A work collegue (who is into adi kicks but not soops
) is off to Berlin and asked me for best shops for adi kicks.
Might be going out there myself in summer so any help from our Deutsch Freunden much appreciated.
Also on this subject of all things German has anyone read Barbara Smit's book "Sneaker Wars"? Is it like the 'Adidas: The making of modern sport' one?
fc questions questions
Since I was away for quite some time I thought I'd do another intro-thread.
Here's the original one: http://www.superstardb.com/hey-t-1797.html
Actually it happens to be four years ago today
Which is why it's going to be my birthday soon again (but 25 this time!)
I'll try to make this a short story though. Since I started collecting sneakers (the 35th anniversary was what started it for me) I have had a lot of different Superstars. However, when I was younger I wore baggy pants and skater shoes, and probably because of that I had always been used to wearing shoes a bit too big. This resulted in me buying a lot of sneakers which I didn't get to wear as time went by, simply because I had outgrown that baggypants-style. This is the reason for all the pairs I have been selling
I'm trying to find most of them again, but this time being a bit more picky. Still dreaming of that 35th consortium pair (any would do really)...
At the same time I went from high school to a year of doing different kinds of jobs and finally to university where I am now.
At some point I had so much stuff to do, moving to another city, getting used to living alone, university life and all those things. I think finding myself is the correct term... Furthermore I broke my back in a mountainbike accident and struggled to keep up with university work. I am stable now though, had the titanium pieces removed from my back in october 2010. Back still hurts sometimes, but I think I just gotta live with that (haven't given up mountainbiking though, riding more than ever).
Anyway, I haven't lost my passion for Superstars and I won't ever stop wearing sneakers ![]()
By the way: I have been using milkthistle quite a lot as Sooper advised and it worked beautifully
I have cut down on the drinking though (it kinda counteracts me trying to get fit for racing the bike).
not sure what size... possibly Uk10...

Good morning, everybody!
My name's Fredo. I'm a plumber from north of Toronto, ON, Canada. I happened upon this forum when I was looking for some history on the Adidas Superstar line. I figured its high time I bone up on my Superstar history now that I'm nearing double digits in my 'collection'.
I write 'collection' in quotations because my 'collection' is tiny and quite frightened when compared with the collections I've seen here. You see, I haven't had a chance to look around too much yet, and as such haven't found any of that history I was looking for, but I did find the Members Collection section, and oh man, you guys got some niiiiice sneakers.
I love my Superstars. All of them. I even love my non-Superstars Adidas (of which I believe I have three). I've been wearing them since I was seventeen and have very seldom worn any other type of shoe since. I don't wear any of them to work, obviously, but I will be first in line if they ever make a line of Adidas Superstar steel-toes.
Outside of my day job its mostly just video games, TV, some music, and weekend trips up north to cottage country during the summer. I'm considering reducing the video games and increasing the music. I figure since I now have a carefully curated selection of rock star kicks, I might as well work towards climbing on stage and showing them off.
Well, that's me. I'm looking forward to being a non-destructive member of this forum, and I'm hoping to learn some cool stuff on the way. At the very least, I'll get to see some sweet sweet shoes. Cheers!
- Fredo

in english it goes like this:
For five years in a row we've been the arrenger of the Sneaker Swap Meet. A forum for all sneakerlovers to buy / sell sneakers.
...
Last year we expanded the event to "Stockholm Sneaker & Streetwear Swap Day" and moved up to Nalen (the IT place to be back in the '50. Nowadays not so much, but still a nice place.). It became bigger better and nicer. So we make it even this year.
On our Swap Meet, you can sell everything that has been lying in the form of sneakers, clothing, records, bicycles, toys, etc.. So it's time to look through what lies hidden in the closet, garage and attic, you might have something to sell.
You can sell following things :
- Sneakers, brands like Nike, Adidas, Converse, Vans, etc. ...
- streetwear & fashion clothing brands as Stussy, Carhartt, Levis, etc.
- Records, Vinyl, CD or DVD's
- Bicycles BMX, Fixed, etc.
- Skateboads, 80 - 90 or 00 century
- Toys Japanese collector toys
- Accesoarer as sunglasses, bags, jewelry
Second Hand & New - All full and clean
last year it looked like this:
