What have I been up to? The fuckers who owned the building my workshop was in decided to sell it during Covid so we were out before the end of the year. Nightmare. Business relied on passing and local trade so my earnings have tanked. I'd sell my arse but bags of coppers might put my back out. Messing around with music and woodwork these days. I reckon I've only bought about 10 pairs in 5 years and am certainly aiming at dropping a few dozen pairs cos I so rarely wear any of them anymore now I'm not commuting. Playing GTA and Battlefield and watching crazy bits of telly or films is about my life these days. Try to stay fit. Got a dope cruiser BMX that gets me around. Life is fully mundane.

What sorta music you making? My eldest is 12 now and shes obsessed with music, learning guitar, piano and drums currently. Im sorting her room out so she can wire her keyboard to the laptop and maybe start making actual tunes.

Ah, that's brilliant. I wish I'd done more musically when i was a kid, including learning to play guitars and piano. I'm just fucking about with groovebox type things. Currently an MPC Live 3.

It's a great thing to do.
I mess around with effects pedals and guitar. In that order.
When my kid was ill for a few years (he's ok now), I used to put a baby monitor in front of me, put headphones on and quietly make noise and although I was watching for the monitor to light up, I could drift away a little. It kept me sane. Seriously.

So, what has happened? Well, my kids grew up and are now moody teenagers. Me and Mrs Fc still rocking it together (19th wedding anniversary next week), still running the same Database fixer company, still dealing with a-hole recruiting agencies, the sham of inside IR35 working & HMRC looking to nail my ass for no reason at all. One small benefit of covid was the rise of remote contacts, so I get to doing lots of gardening have become a bit green fingered, built a wild flower garden + Star Wars themed rockery, and grow lots of veg each summer/autumn. Amazing for your mental health. 2025 was a truly fucking awful year for many reasons, won't go into right now.
Lost my dog in the avatar (Bert) recently he had cancer but he almost got to 15 years old which is a great age. So, since we miss having a dog around the house, we now we have a rescue miniature bull terrier called Danny (or his full name "For Fucks Sake Danny!). A miniature is like the lunacy of a standard BT but on crack.
Getting old is no fun but still try and look after myself with running, but more of a plod these days. The world seems to have already gone in the handcart to hell but you still try and fight the good fight.
Just spotted a lovely pair of burgundy pair on adidas site so may go and treat myself.
