hey, i'm pretty sure i know what to look for in the current shoes, but i recently purchased a pair from ebay that are apparently vintage from '98. they have some clear signs that would make a new shoe fake, but how different were the older shoes? for example, these ones have the heel tag and they do not have the label on the back of the tongue. they also seem to have a poorer quality lining. since i don't own anything older than 2004, i can't really compare because they are quite different. all numbers on both shoes are the same

hello, eh. i likes me some adidas superstars and this seems like a good place to see new ones and spot the fakes. canada has a relatively poor selection of new shoes so i often buy online. this puts me in a unique situation as the shoes i wear i've never seen anyone else with. i currently have 6 pair of superstars as well as several other styles. almost enough to wear a different pair for 2 weeks.

So, I got a pair of 35th Foot Patrols last year and have de-tagged them and worn them once inside, apart from a short walk from the car to a restaurant (about 5 metres!).

Other than that, I haven't worn them. I'm all for wearing trainers rather than having them sat in a box, but given the beauty and rarity of these and the price I paid for them, I am scared shitless of ruining them with a scuff or stain to the point where I am not wearing them.

So, I am at this stage considering flogging them on and wondered what a realistic price would be.

UK 9.5, original box, pre-packed laces, all of the cards and booklet in the envelope and a 35th plastic shopping bag.

Like I say, I am only considering at this stage as they are so lovely, but feel they are going to waste just sat there and I am struggling to get past the possibility of ruining them if I wear them

Any ideas on price?

Can i apply any kind of Mink Oil, which is good to preserved and soften leather or something to prevent our Pro model/ Superstar from flakings, peelings etc?

And how to prevent the side of the sole from yellowing?

if it does turns yellow how to clean it?

Just a little bit about me: I'm 30 and live in North eastern part of Singapore.

My first pair of Superstar was a standard white with black stripes pair that was back in 1998. From there onward I didn’t buy any of Superstar until recently.



I’m a big fan of MCM leathers from backpack, wallet, passport holder I do have them. So one fine day I was browsing the internet and saw Big Sean wearing Sick Adidas Superstar shoe with MCM logo on it, so from that moment I told myself that I need to have those shoe. So been reading and looking out for backgrounds of the shoe and found that it was released in 2006 with only 250 pairs worldwide and only 125 pairs were put on sale so thought that no way I’m gonna find a brand new in box pair in 2013.



Took me around 13 months to source for these shoe and recently on 29th September managed to find one pair for myself through Ebay this seller(he has lotsa other consortium pair as well) is from UK put up a “brand new in box DeadStock adidas consortium Size US 8.5” (he bought on release day in 2006 from No. 6 London) for Auction, I was stunts when I saw it but without wasting any time I bidded till the final minutes of the auction and i won it and made me a poor man haha! So I guess for £440 its worth every penny I spent on it because this colab won’t come that often. Here are the photos of my kicks of the year!
