So, I got a pair of 35th Foot Patrols last year and have de-tagged them and worn them once inside, apart from a short walk from the car to a restaurant (about 5 metres!).
Other than that, I haven't worn them. I'm all for wearing trainers rather than having them sat in a box, but given the beauty and rarity of these and the price I paid for them, I am scared shitless of ruining them with a scuff or stain to the point where I am not wearing them.
So, I am at this stage considering flogging them on and wondered what a realistic price would be.
UK 9.5, original box, pre-packed laces, all of the cards and booklet in the envelope and a 35th plastic shopping bag.
Like I say, I am only considering at this stage as they are so lovely, but feel they are going to waste just sat there and I am struggling to get past the possibility of ruining them if I wear them
Any ideas on price?
cheers

Depending on how clean the soles are/how clean you can get them, try to get back what you paid.
Yes, you popped the tags, but they're another year older and they certainly aren't making them any more.

Prices vary and they are only ever worth as much as some one is prepared to pay.
Not sure what you paid, i got mine in a UK10 in DS condition for £210 but know people who have paid a lot more, and some probably less over the years since release.
But like Z said i'd definitely try and get money back as unless they are obviously marked/scuffed they certainly shouldnt have lost any (significant) value and they are still extremely rare.
If you have £5 and Chuck Norris has £5, Chuck Norris has more money than you.
cheers for the guidance guys, much appreciated.

I was in the same situation with the footpatrols Vern . . . LOVED them but couldn't wear them as I'd paid so much for them . . . was getting a bit silly having them just to peek at in the box every now and then . . . I bought them from a well known ssdb'er and sold them to another and pretty much got my money back and everyone was happy.
I would certainly try to get back what you paid for them if you can. Like SK said, the consortium 35ths can sell for anything from original retail to many times that . . .
I don't wear Crocs, and I don't wear sandals/The pump don't work 'cause the vandals took the handles . . .
exactly that situation Gee! The mrs bought them for me for xmas last year and paid almost £300 for them and I just keep getting them out of the box for a look and a stroke! It's ridiculous. Part of me says "fuck it just wear them and what will be will be" but another part says "I really don't want to ruin these because they are rare and expensive".
Decisions decisions.

Selling an xmas present from the mrs, you're going to get yourself into trouble...LOL...
– but, that aside, if you love them, I say wear them. If not, you might as well pass them on to someone else who will wear them. Getting back the money should be possible with those, but chances of finding another pair of FPs could take you years, so think well before selling them.
Superstars are indeed super...
I say wear them. I took a few years to find a pair of neighborhood 35ths and I knew I was going to wear them despite paying an arm and leg for them. At least if you are good with cleaning you'll be able to take them out on a rare occasion and enjoy them.
Wear them Vern. I was the same with my new balance providers to begin with. In that I queued up in the rain to get them on my birthday. I didnt wear em for sges, eventually, I saw reason, rocked the fuck out of them. 2 weeks ago I sold them for more than there original price, 400 aussie dollars. At the end of day, it is only footwear. Enjoy snapping necks I say.
Rock the Shells
Wear them buddy! It's well worth it.
if you don´t need the cash - wear them! they´re lovely and rare these days.
whack lacing is killing your shoes!
Even though worn once, sounds like they can still be classified as DS. But as they rest said, keep em if you're not in financial straits, and they are few and far between nowadays....rock don't stock! Just keep em clean after each wear!
If I had a pair, I'd keep em.
"SSDB does not condone or promote wack behaviour"
As long as you don't do anything silly, like wearing them with new dark denim, wearing them in the rain, etc., they're quite durable and not hard to keep clean.
Rock them.
If God gives you lemons you should find a new God
Wear them! Don't worry your mind! That's all.
