As part of my recent housemove I had to sort out some new contents insurance and this time round they asked me if I had any "special collections" ( I really wanted to respond with "Yo, I'm Kid Sparkle, all my collections are special, biatch!" )

Luckily, I managed to stop myself before blurting out something regrettable but I did mention my trainers, so now they want to know how much my collection is worth. I'm struggling a bit because (apart from being a flidmong at maths) whilst it's easy to add up the actual retail price of each pair, how would you calculate the value of ones that are old/rare/not obtainable anymore?

Any tips/advice greatly appreciated. Long winded, self-indulgent essays, not so much.

Hey, I'd really like to buy the newly released Superstar 80 3way from Crooked Tongues/ ACU/ D-MOP/ VA but the shipping prices and price of the actual shoe is ridiculous to the US. One pair shipped works out to about $250 USD. I realized that CT charges a flat fee of 30 GBP for shipping to the US or Canada no matter how large the order is. So I figure we should all get together and buy it as one order so that the shipping charges are more are less not so much cash. I'm currently in NYC so it would be ideal to get the order shipped here and since the post office is 2 blocks from me I can easily ship out every ones' packages from here. Anyone who is in shoot me a PM so we can get something sorted. I'd like to do this ASAP, as I don't want to lose an opportunity at owning this pair!
