Hi, as you all can see I'm a member here for more than a year now. In the last year I regularly visited the forum to read about new releases, how to spot fakes and I drooled like a baby by seeing all the great collections of you guys. Because I'm active on many different forums I decided not to post but just read here, a day only has 24 hours and I also needed to find some time to work, drink, eat, sleep, watch football and more stuff like that . Now my posting activities on some other forums are at a low and I'm reading and watching here almost every day the time has come to start posting here on the SSDB. To make a good impression I start of by introducing myself to my fellow Supes lovers off course .

So here we go: I'm Marco, 27 years old and I'm from the Netherlands. I work with mentally challenged people for a living.
My Supes passion started about two years ago, off course I knew them a lot longer but never had a pair. I always thought they looked great with their rubber shells, but always ended up with another pair of sneakers promising myself that my next purchase would be a pair of Superstars. When I finally bought my first pair of Supes a love story was born, and the second pair followed soon .
Although I rock Superstars for about two years now, I'm really collecting them for about a year now. My first pairs went thru rain, snow, mud and ended beaten up pretty much, now I have a couple pairs of beaters which I wear to work and thru the rain, snow and mud and I have my babies which I only wear when I'm certain that they're staying dry and clean.
I have about 15 pairs of Supes and I'll post up some pics in the next couple of days .

Now that the thread title has got your attention, I'd like to firstly say hello as its been a while since I posted on this site. So hello, its nice to back! And secondly I'd like to see if any of you fellas or clown footed ladies would be interested in buying some of my brand spanking new Superstars. They'll all be going on Ebay in 2 weeks time, but I would like to offer them to some of my fellow Superstar lovers before then.

So up first we have some UK8 Superstar Vintage, still with the tags on:


UK8 Superstar NBA Cleveland Cavaliers. The picture has them with some fat laces in but they will also come with the original laces and lace locks.


UK8.5 Superstar Lux Gilbert Arenas, again with fatties in but they will also come with the original laces:


And last but by no means least [you didn’t think I’d lie in my thread title did you!!!], UK9 Super Ape Stars Embossed:





These aren't new but I can guarantee that they are in superb condition and except for the sole being darkened a little due to the limited wear they look almost new, you can count the times they've been worn by both their owners on one hand. They were purchased from another member of this site in a moment of sheer madness/dying admiration for a wonderful looking pair of trainers....I am a size 8 most of the time but these are a 9 and so just a tad too big for me. It seems a waste for them to be lying on top of my wardrobe and not seeing the light of day and I could also do with the cash, hence why I am parting with them.
They come exactly as I purchased them without the original box, the blue camo laces or the gold lace locks. Thats the bad news, the good news is that you have the chance to buy one of the rarest pairs of trainers ever released!

As I am exiting the military for civilian life, it occurred to me that I have not indulged in some of the things that my younger self took for granted.

In California, marijuana is legal. I have had a prescription (a letter granting permission to smoke) and a Cannabis Club Card for many years. Though I have not been able to partake in the spoils of such for the last four years, I have continued to show my support for the cause.

So, I am curious as to the laws and beliefs of people from different parts of the world. This thread should be for discussion of this. I think it should be legal. Anyone else for it?

To continue from the "postie done brung me.." thread regarding possible fakes. I received this email from the ebay seller buinick today:

3 q's really, but a bit pointless making 3 different threads for 'em, so I've put them all in here.

Anyway, I used to do the 'TK Maxx trawl' about 6yrs ago when they were hot. Basically, it'd be a day and a lot of money going from one TK Maxx to another buying any and everything I liked the look of. I'd do this every couple of months and only stopped because the TK Maxx's turned to shit and weren't worth going in any more.

So my first question is this: Are people still picking up good deals and nice supes from them? If you have picked up some good Supes, could you tell me what you managed to get in the last few months? - I'd do a trawl if it was worth my time, but I don't wanna waste a day picking up sweet F.A

Secondly, do TK Maxx keep the boxes for Supes? Like, can you ask them for the boxes and stuff? I mainly bought clothes from there so didn't ever find that out.

Lastly, does anyone know where genuine adidas superstar shoe boxes can be bought on/offline?

I was wondering what the deal with the shipping on this website is? They want $72 "Shipping and Handling" on an order of 2 tee's (The order itself is $90!). Is this 'cos I'm in the UK or would they still add huuuge costs to orders within the US? Whats the dilly yo'?
