Took this earlier... Not my best pic but also not a bad 1yr old collection

I'd love to hear some stories of how people go into Supes, pics of their first pair, etc.
I first appreciated them back in high school (about 16 years ago), but didn't get my first pair until college (about 13 years ago). Plain white/navy like the ones shown below...I remember looking everywhere to find them (you'd think such a simple colorway would have been easy to find). Wore them into the ground, and immediately replaced them with the same pair, and since then, have been hooked and got some not-so-plain pairs (but still a small collection compared to other folks!)
Would love to hear others' stories and pics (if available)

Hello everyone! My name is Darrell and I live just north of West Palm Beach, FL in the U.S. I'm really glad to have found a group dedicated to the Adidas Superstar. A proper intro should be the norm for this type of group----glad to see that it is.

So here it goes:

I grew up in Massachusetts and have wanted to fly my whole life. When I was 16, my training took me to Florida, and once I had all my ratings and licenses, I began flight instructing. I spun house music at clubs on the side for extra money and ALWAYS rocked my shelltoes, though I did not have much of a collection at the time. After flight instructing for a few years I flew for a regional airline and in 2006 I got hired flying executives, celebrities and sports stars in private jets. Currently I fly the Citation XL and XLS. Now that I've been with my company for a few years, I'm finally able to grow my superstar collection (I now have 37 pairs)....although it's kinda hard when you're a size 14. I have always loved the Adidas Superstar---ever since I was a kid. The funny thing is that a few years ago I broke my toe and as a result the superstar is the ONLY sneaker I can wear comfortably. Everything happens for a reason I suppose.

So great to see that so many others love the shoe as I do....it is truly a work of art and represents so many things. I know of no other shoe that has crossed through the once tall walls of gender, race, sexual orientation and overall culture while appealing to so many people from so many walks of life. It shows us just how imaginary those walls really are.

In the end, I'd just like say thanks to the person (eBay ID babylatin) that sent me a msg recommending this site --- probably after seeing me bid on some shoes. I think Superstars are pretty friggin sweet, and it's great to see that there's a bunch of kool kats on here that dig 'em like I do! I hope I can contribute here....I'm looking forward to it! Hello ppl

Im from clapham common, S.London. im 17 and most of the years of my life i would have one pair of trainers and shoes. Only getting new a pair if the previous pair was to small or was in bad condition. It's been like this for me my through primary and secondary. Because of the amount of trainers i had i couldn't really have a collection. So when i started college and going out i always had the same superstard throughout the year and they got tatty then i started to buy trainers again. Im Not the richest person so i had limited clothes aswell since i would mostly wear school uniform.

Now im starting 2nd year in college (want to specialize in designing(e.g designing games, websites anything to apperance). now im in college and i am starting to get a bit of my own money i want to increase my collection of trainers & wardrobe so far i have 4 pairs . i just wanna know what sites are trusted and sell real adidas's so i can have a few more pair of trainers.

Is that a good enough introduction?, should of read instructions first my bad.

I thought it was about time I shared my collection with you guys, when I joined in may I only had the 2 pairs (the white/black and the SS 2.5) I went a bit crazy but i've started to go for quality over quantity now.

Unfortunately for you I have no creativity or camera skills as you can tell!!

The seller has way over priced them for some normal supes
just wondering if they were cheaper around the net somewhere

Although I read a lot of how to spot fakes on here I have one pair in my collection that I have doubts about, or actually two pairs because a couple of days ago I received a pair of Supes that I also have some questions about.

The first pair that I have my doubts about are the Sciences, they look fine but the leather looks/ feels a bit thinner than in most of my other Supes and there are some signs of not so good stitching:

The second pair is a pair of papaya/ white patents that I received last week. It is a 2000 release and I'm not really into the fake spotting of older models, that's why I hope that you can help me with these. I know that the heel tag is ok because it's an older release but I have my doubts about the box (the older Supes come in brown boxes but do they have the equipment logo?) and about the labels inside the tongue and the tags. They only costed 34 euro incl. shipping from Germany, so I hope that I did a good purchase on them:
