Hi all,

I have a pair of old superstar 2's which I love the heck out of , but the shoe is starting to show it's age and I had to buy a replacement. I thought the shoe I bought was the same but there are some subtle differences. I don't think either are fake, but I would appreciate any help identifying the exact model and where I might purchase them.

1st. There appears to be a small metal ringlet on the shoe. Doesn't exist on the new pair.


2nd. The blue section of the shoe is not leather like the new pair. It appears to be a plastic like material with a weave or net pattern.


3rd. There's an adidas word on the actual 3 stripe.


4th. This is less substantial, but the laces are thicker.

5th. I realised my images had little context, so i created a side by side comparison.



And what might not be entirely apparent from the pictures, those are white/navy shoes.

When I saw mjfstar's Blue nubuck/suede PT's with fat whites in them, I knew I had to get those. I found them on the bay (seller from the US) but I want to order a second pair so I can spread the extra costs (shipping, VAT, handling) over two pairs. But I can't decide which ones to buy.

I`m Andie from Stoke-On-Trent (Dont hold that against me ),England...... i`ve just refound my love for superstars ....... i came across this wonderfull site while trying to find a certain pair of kicks i came across in spain (which ive regretted not buying ever since) they are superstar II which are white, with a black print of superstars, with fat black lace`s ..( see att pic ) if anyone could help with sourcing a pair of these id be more than gratefull ....

In September I was looking for some replacement for these supes. They REALLY needed to be replaced.


Knowing nothing about Superstars I bougth 2 fake pairs on the internet. Because I had my doubts about the genuinity I began searching the web to find anything about these two shops I bought from. I ended up here. I did get my money back for both fake pairs but ending up here could not be returned. I couldn't stop and searched the web for some cool Superstars (I still needed to replace those beaters ).

4 months later I ended up with these

I keep the shoes in my office upstairs. I mounted some shelves on the wall to display the shoes. Yesterday I added some custom stripes to two of the shelves.
