Need advice identifying shoes - sowdog - 29-01-10

Hi all,

I have a pair of old superstar 2's which I love the heck out of , but the shoe is starting to show it's age and I had to buy a replacement. I thought the shoe I bought was the same but there are some subtle differences. I don't think either are fake, but I would appreciate any help identifying the exact model and where I might purchase them.

1st. There appears to be a small metal ringlet on the shoe. Doesn't exist on the new pair.


2nd. The blue section of the shoe is not leather like the new pair. It appears to be a plastic like material with a weave or net pattern.


3rd. There's an adidas word on the actual 3 stripe.


4th. This is less substantial, but the laces are thicker.

5th. I realised my images had little context, so i created a side by side comparison.



And what might not be entirely apparent from the pictures, those are white/navy shoes.

How long did it take you to take those images, download them and then post them on here?

maybe 30 mins, possibly an hour? And all for nothing.

Sorry chaps.
Aspersions have been made as to my going soft and recent light use of the banhammer.
So, for the time being, I'm gonna be all up in newbies grills until my reputation as an internet tyrant has been restored.
