At one point everyone one of us was new to the SSDB and I would guess that at least a couple of us started off without a proper intro.

Yes, sure, I'm guilty of having a go at people too, but I think we should probably ease up a bit.

Just wanted to sign up to this forum as im a big fan of Superstars & trying to get more info on the various models, etc. I got my first pair about 5 years ago and have collected a few more since then. slowly getting more

I have an old pair of Superstars I am trying to identify - I have been searching for a long long time to try and track down another pair (as they are now very worn) & haven't found much info about them at all. Other then every shop I walk into tell me they don't think they are no longer available......

I'm looking for a nice pair Superstar 80s. I'm a size UK8.

I came up with a cheap substitute for expensive shoetrees and like to share my little invention with you:


1. You need some old socks that you don't need anymore and some newpapers


2. Crumble up the newspaper


3. Stuff the newpaper in the sock and shape it so it fits in your shoe


4. Tie a knot to keep the shape and leave the "tail" empty


5. Press the “Poor Sods Cheap Shoetree” into the shoe and shape it further to fit properly. Use the “tail” to pull it out!

Bought these from Sk8 about 2 years ago and have never worn them. Apart from the labels not being attached they are in deadstock condition. Make me an offer.
