I only have 80's in my collection, so I can't compare for myself, but is it maybe so that the 80's model is a bit tighter than other models when you lace them? I'm asking cause I get a lot of comments all the time from people that my lacing's to tight. I'm not after any extra loose lacing, just the normal thing and it doesn't get any looser than this:

If I would want looser lacing I would have to have a narrower size.
What do you say who can compare different models?
Hey guys,
just wanted to know, if a seller posts something and has proof, but it gets lost in the post... can you claim your money back through paypal? or do you lose it?
Well the title says it all. Tell us the story behind your first pair! I go first:
It was back in 1998 and Sneakersnstuff was a pretty new phenomenon in Stockholm where I lived at the time. On the same street actually. This was a few years after the relaunche of the Originals line and the Superstar was back in stock (at least I hadn't seen 'em in a long time), mostly whites with colored stripes. But I never liked to have something that anyone else easily could get. There's almost always supposed to be some sort of effort behind a purchase I think. Anyway I had a dream of a pair of all white Supes which at the time did not exist in Sweden and internet shopping was far away in the future. I wasn't sure they existed at all actually, but I hoped so.
This was also a time when internet was something new and I hadn't really experienced the possibilities this would give.
SnS was the experts and had all the knowledge so I walked in and asked them if all white supes existed and in that case if they could get me a pair. After some research they let me know that they could do that and would call me when they'd arrived.
At the same time a friend of mine went on a job trip to Los Angeles and I banned my self for not thinking about giving him the mission to find me those supes instead. However the guy from SnS called me and said they could get me the shoes, but they would be some what expensive and he didn't wanna take them in before he talked to me so I said "Ok I think I might be able to get them elsewhere".
I went back to my school cause that's the only place where I had access to the internet. I checked out Adidas.com and there you could get adresses for retailers in L.A. So I picked them all out with adresses and all and emailed my friend with description and size of the shoe. To my surprise he answered in just a couple of minutes cause he was sitting on an internet café at Sunset Boulevard (I think it was that street) checking his mail and he said there was a Footlocker or something similar just a block away so further more a couple of minutes later I got an email saying he had bought the shoes! Amazing!
When he was back in Sweden again I stopped by his office and picked the shoes up. They were so beautiful and cool. No one had that shoe in Stockholm at the time. Not that I knew of anyway. That was one of the best days ever!
It would be years before I saw another pair of all white superstars on someone elses feet. Now they're just about everywhere I guess, but that's another story...
.......I'm a man of wealth & taste.
Thats not it.
Allow me to re-introduce myself, My name is HOV...H to the O-V,
Thats not it either.
I'm Wayne aka JohnnyMook, a moniker that I have held since I first watched Martin Scorceses 'Mean Streets' many moons ago.
A Thirtysomething born out of Shepherds Bush in West London, a massive Hip-Hop fan who was inspired by the whole Shells scene when I first seen Run DMC wearing a pair when I was about 11. Unfortunately around that time the pair that I had got absolutley crippled ma feets (they're very flat feet), so the love was lost for short while. I was unable to do my Breakdancin.
The love has been back a while and is now stronger than ever, I only wear Shells now....unless of course I'm at work.
Found this site via ebay, as I bought a pair of Ian Browns (Huge Fan) a few years ago. I have worn them twice I think and I am gutted that it now appears they are bogus. Which is proper crusty !
I look forward to speakin with you all.

Hello all, I’m from SoCal and can say I’m a huge fan of adidas, specifically superstars. Been looking around and I’m impressed with many members collections. My superstar collection is small but sure to grow. I’m a size 12 so as you can imagine if I want to cop a pair I need to jump on them fast since that size seems to be out of stock fast. I was out of the superstar game for a while until recently with the star wars collaboration. I was extremely impressed on the designs. I also enjoy nike’s and jordan’s but since this being an adidas forum, it is relevant information I guess. I will try and follow all the rules, thanks.
This is my first ever forum, besides FLStudio. I am very old and greying but still wear my shells with pride. I don't collect (although my wife would disagree), I wear them 'til they get tired then I give them to friends or charity shops. I have tried to get into Nikes and other brands, I buy them but end up giving them away cos I feel like a fraud. Got some of those hemp AF1s but felt like a rapper so they had to go - sorry any MCs out there. Used to wear Nastase Tennis shoes to break and pop in in the 80s, never had shells when I was a kid even though I followed Run DMC religiously -still got an LP signed by them in the loft somewhere. Everyone seemed to be wearing puma in London at the time, probably cos of LL Cool J and the Rock Steady Crew. Forgive me if I am incorrect. Started buying them in my twenties and haven't looked back. I keep buying New York 35ths over and over but they are getting hard to find now, plus a lot of fakes about, should've bought a job lot to last me the rest of my life... its the flash of orange and the blue sole that I love. Recently started to customise different pairs with An***us paints (no plug) for my son and my niece although I haven't nailed a design for myself that I feel comfortable with. Although I have blacked out my Berlin 35ths and they look sick with just a red trim on the sole and the lace hole strips Have no idea how you customise with suede and embroidery like the ones I have seen on this site. I am a youth / music worker and will be trying to get some youngsters customising this summer (careful with the acetone obviously!) on a arts award project. Anyway I'm waffling.... but It is good to vent!
Hopefully someone on here owns some or knows alittle about them at least??
I'm alittle wary regarding fakes of these tracksuits (wetlook chile62 trackies+tracktops) but don't really wanna be going down the footlocker £90 road.
There's some on ebay in varying colours and i really do and have fancied a blk/red run dmc/ian brown one for awhile..obviously i've already dismissed the ones from hongkong and such but if any1 can shed any info on these/tips i'd appreciate it..cheers pokey
Can post a pic if needed
Guys,
I mentioned before that I sometimes have the problem that my feet slip out of my vins a bit. All you guys have taken the piss with me because of this but that doesn't stop me telling you about another problem with my vins. I have minimised the slipping by lacing my vins a bit tighter. But that doesn't stop my feet from moving around a bit in my shoes. I guess we all have that a bit.
But now the problem. because of the smooth inside of the vins my feet are squeaking all over the place. The sound is caused by my socks rubbing against the inside. I have this problem with allmost all my vins. One is worse than the other.
Am I the only one with this problem. Do I need other socks or should I stop wearing vins???
Cheers
Rob the slipping, squeaking vin man
