Hello. I am a 30y old Slovakian. I bought my first pair of superstars in 1996 when I started high school. I started with break dance. As a right b-boy I had to have a pair of Superstars, even Nike cortez was better accessible at that time in Slovakia and most of my firends had them, but I didn't like them.

I remember how i had to travel around to find a pair of them 100km from my town. Since then I didn't bought another pair of trainers other than superstars. I cheated only once 3 years ago I was out of luck and I couldn't find my size when I accidentally slashed my stars. I bought Adidas Samba Nua AC Milan instead.

I am a conservative owner, so I bought strictly the white ones with black stripes. They fit well with every kind of clothes, sweatpants, jeans, uniform or even black suit (bud I didn't find a courage to wear them out with suit ). I have usually only two pairs at home. The old ones for daily walking, the new ones for better occasions.

And why I am here? I registered because I recieved one pair of fakes. I want to point out on another seller selling fakes. If I will know about this forum, probably I didn't buy them.

Hi all. I am wearing superstars from '96. I bougth the most of them in brick and mortar adidas stores. But now I decide to buy ones from ebay, from seller with 99.99% (more than 4000) positive feedback , and few negative complains about the wrong size. Maybe in my later post I will point to the seller.

Yesterday I recieved a box with a pair of them and I started to be in doubt if they are fakes or not. Then I started to search how to recognize reals from the fakes. Howerver I am still in doubts, so plese, help me to identify if they are fakes or not. I took some detailed pictures, but if it will be necessary, please ask for more pictures or picture of a box. So here are the pictures:


The tongue is like some kind of a foam, no leather on it.



The lining is not leather or textile like on previous superstars i had.

As written linng is synthetic, not leather.


Look at the cut on the outsole in the place where the wamp meets the outsole and the toe. (I don't know, if it matters).

Again, I am not sure, if it matters, but I never had REGISTERED around the logos on the shoe counter. There appears twice.



Notice a little notch in the green part under the stitchnig. Got home two pairs and that part is straight. Also notice quite a big padding in the stitching of the white stripe. On both originals I have no paddings there.

I aligned both outsoles - the original I had at home and the new ones I recieve. They are definitely different, but I do not know if it is ok. However the new ones didn't fit well on my feet and are uncomfortable.

New member here... 30 year old sneaker head from Denmark. Collects mainly basketball sneaks from Nike and Adidas but my favorite everyday sneaker will always be the Adidas Superstar.

Due to a fire my Superstar collection has been reduced to only two pairs the first one a "standard" pair in the dark/blue/white colorway.

The other pair that I mainly wear on special days, are the Adidas Superstar 2 Kermit (muppets) edition


Hope to find a lot of new friends here, who share my love for this sneaker.

Also I have been searching for the Adidas Originals Jeremy Scott Wings 2.0 in white/black in a US size 12 but I do not know if this is even possible - does anyone here know if this can be done?

Hey everyone! I joined couple years back but haven't interacted much, my bad! But now I'm ready to rock n roll, and hope to meet some cool people that I can chat with and help out with Adidas quests. Here's my old intro, a bit modified for new happenins, in hopes some of you remember me and a few more say hi:

I'm a Baltimore girl with serious love for ink, Adidas, and hardcore and metal (not necessarily in that order). I'm graphic designer by day, and do illustration, design, and block printing at night, mostly Mexican folk art and pet portraits. Frida Kahlo is my favorite artist. I fractured both my legs last year training for a marathon and had to lay around for 8 weeks. In my head, I was going to create great works of art from my bed, like frida did. In reality, i ate pain pills and watched Love and Hip Hop in Atlanta. I'm still disappointed in myself.

As far as my love of sneakers is concerned, I'm a bit of a whore, and have what i call the holy trilogy: Adidas, Vans, Puma (in that order).

Superstars are by far my favorite sneaker--right now, i only have around 8 pairs, but more are rapidly coming. My favorite pair i had to devise a scheme to get them from Adidas Canada because the bastards wouldn't ship to the US or accept US payments. I had to hunt down friends of friends that live in Canada and would help me out. The first guy agreed to do it for Big Red gum and a variety of flavored Mountain Dews (he got all giddy when i told him i just drank an orange one) but then he flaked. But my friend's sister totally rocked out and came through though, so now my Precious are sitting in my room waiting for a grand premiere (the weather has been iffy and wet here..no way am i rockin those girls with the threat of a Baltimore city puddle lurking).

I have a seven year old daughter that is learning to play the guitar and wants to "play like Rob Zombie and Motorhead." God, I'm proud.
I am still schooling her in sneakers, though. We were perusing some sneaker shops in the hood a while she pulled a pair of green Nikes off its stand and brought them to me "look mommy, I like these, the green is cool." The salesgirl came over right as i said "yes hon, the color's cool, but those are Nikes. Put those back. We don't wear Nikes in our house."

Hooded tracktops, both size medium. Is actually purple, looks a lot darker in photo though. Purple has been worn literally twice. Red worn and washed very little.
