I'm a newbie (but I did say hello over on the welcome thread) trying to identify a pair of old and much loved superstars so I can buy my better half a new pair for his birthday.
I had no idea, when I started this quest, how many types of superstar trainer there actually are. I thought it was going to be a simple case of 'oh well, they have 'superstar' written down the side, they'll be easy to find then' - no chance!
So, I was wondering if any of you experts can identify them?
The closest I've got is a sort of cross between a Superstar 2G - but the shell seems different, the stitching on the back is different, and the colourways don't seem to be available as it's all white body and coloured accents rather than the other way about as per my ones - and a Superstar II - where the shell seems more alike, but the sole is flat compared to the curved sole of the ones in my pics.
On my shoe, the material is a blue suede which has faded alot through use and washing (eeek!) but I can't even seem to find a newer model which has the same dark blue suede colourway with the white shell that the other half totally loves.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer.

Hi, I'm probably an impostor as far as this website is concerned as I only own one pair of trainers (for running!) BUT, before I get shouted off the site, I'm here for my lovely other half, who has the 'superstar' thing going on big style!
I'm posting here today to get help to identify his favourite pair - bought (I think) in the US, before I came on the scene - over 8 years ago.
I want to buy him a new parir (or as close as) but I hadn't realised what a large product line the 'superstar' brand has. I know now!
I've still not managed to suss out which ones they are - may be even a special edition or something.
Anyway, you guys are the experts, so after having put my 'hello' up here as per the rules, I'm heading straight over to whichever thread/topic is approriate for 'Please Identify My Trainers'
Anyway, it's nice to know there are other people out there as loopy about superstars as him!

i want it (I think Captain Tsubasa or Guffy) but I know that they are olds... so now, I can't find it new in internet...

I've seen some in ebay... of course, when you see the price, you know that they are false (coming from Singapour or Israel)

But I really want this shoes... if they are falses I can be ok...

but do you now the quality of this shoes??? are they ok??? or no???

and do you have maybe an other adress for find 35th birthday collection?
