Browsed this SSdB often enough and finally got registered - the info and chats are great, so I'm now ready to be a part of this street savvy group who all are officially the Imelda Marcos' of the SS world! By that I merely mean having a particular fondness for shoes.

A relative newbie to shoe fetishes (or so I thought), but after purchasing my 30ish pair this week (trainers alone), I realized I've a shoe bug bite...some old, some new, all in kik @rse shape...conservative styles in nature as you will all see one day when I post in the 'collector' forum...Mostly have Adidas, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Puma...again nothing too bright/loud, but unique in some ways nonetheless...my prized posessions are my Adidas white Berlin Gazelles and a pair of Shanghai Tang limited Pumas I picked up in Amsterdam back in 2003.

I've seen these a million times in the rasta colorway and in white/black/grey, but this is the first time I'm seeing all black. I searched on google for "woven superstar black" and came up with nuttin.

Can anyone else confirm or deny the legitimacy of these?

I have been a fan of shells for most of my adult life and have only just discovered this site while trying to track down a pair of 8.5 UK Ian Brown 35th Anniveraries, and finding out all the ones on Ebay are mostly fakes. Bastards!!!!

I have about 8 pairs at the moment and normally end up wearing all my favourite ones into the ground.

My current fav's are white high tops with red soles/ stripes and red velcro straps that i got in the States a few years ago.

Really glad to find this site....

Try as I might I don't seem to find any collectables in my size (uk 8.5) I search through ebay, spend ages online and have given up with the high street. My only success has been in new york. Any tips guys??

hey, didnt see this part of SSDB until i was shouted at saying i should introduce myself so here i go...

im a 20 year old graphic design student from UK, always loved the Superstars and how they have evolved.
i think its amazing how they've been out for nearly 40 years and are still top of the game with hundreds of different versions and colour variations.

i have owned a few standard pairs in my time, but moved onto loving the adidas high top range.

Which is why...

im doing a 15 minute presentation on the Adidas superstar for one of my projects..
any help with information as to where they are produced, what materials are used to make the original superstars, any good facts and maybe some useful links to advertising used for the superstars.
