Hello fellow superstardb members. newbie here from boston, ma.

Sup, I was itching to get a new shoe lately (our family is very frugal - new shoes only when you need them!)

And too be honest I don't REALLY need new shoes because my old ones don't have holes yet (srsly). A lot of my friends have Nikes, from the regular $30-70 ones to some that have ones costing $250+ (one of my friend's friend's ponied up $600 for a pair). But Nikes? Everyone has them (plus the cool ones are too expensive >.<)

Anyways, superstars caught my eyes because of their rubber shelltoes which I think are just awesome. I picked up one of these:



Not my picture. I put straight bar, yellow laces on my and they're pretty much the coolest shoes I've ever seen. They're Superstar II's but I can't find any more information on them? They have a pac-man design which is cool since I [video]game a lot. +school colors (yellow/blue)

What do you guys think?

Hello everyone, another new face for you to judge whether worthy enough to bestow your wisdom upon

Here's my backstory. I'm 23 and live in the Uk and a part of the Uk that's made nice trainers part of my upbringing.
In regards to my topic title, I come to you converted from a reebok worshipper!

How it goes is this, (and bear with me untill I get to the superstars part )I got my first pair of reeboks when they were "in" and it's been that way ever since. My last pair were my pride and joy, pure grey dubbles, never seen another pair in my life.
But as we grow older our tastes change and for the last *year* I have had my eyes peeled on trainer sites, looking for that perfect pair of superstars.

I think they have to mean something to you which is why it's important for me to get the perfect pair, not just a great pair.
For me it's a small part individuality and a small part standing out from the crowd. That's why I've mostly been looking at bright colours.

Today I think I may have stumbled across them by means of an eBay auction (possibly selling fakes.) I'm 100% sure these trainers were genuinely made and released but try as I might I cannot find them anywhere.
In my searching I came across this forum and I really hope I can get some opinions on my choice of trainer and where to find it.

found this forum while searching for more information on superstars i saw at a local store. Kinda amazed there have been so many designs and stuff. From the east coast, living in the west. 21 now and looking to fix my superstar fix
=)

So I was brwosing through eBay this afternoon and cam across this auction by ohmyland. In the past, this seller has had some Superstars before the general release from adidas (If I recall, he had the Gruns 2 months before anyone).

What kind of Superstars are these?

There is a two tone accent to the stripes, the heel tab is just a trefoil without 'adidas' on it (Very similar to Stan Smiths) and the Sole has "adidas" on the outside heel.

Anyways... Thoughts???

Ebay have just been fined 40m Euros for not doing enough to stop fake Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Givenchy products. Maybe this is the sanction they need to crack down properly on all fake traders.

The interesting bit though is that a large part of the case was due to "illicit sales" of genuine products. Some of the perfumes the company's produce are only permitted to be sold through licenced dealers and as such, ebay have been banned from selling 4 brands of perfume. This sets a precedent for other companies (in france at least) to follow suit. Whether other brands will follow suit is to be seen I guess (I can easily imagine consortiums and 35ths falling under similar categories)
