I was thinking about getting some of the all-star olympic shoes until i came across this 35th and it says 114 units in stock. Should i trust this site because i don't want to get a fake if i buy some non-35th shoes and find out its a fake.

As i'm nearing the end of my quest for all the 35th anniversarys i started to think about what other sneakers i had back in the day and what was next for my wall of fame. Thinking as far back to what was my first pair of cool shoes. it was a pair of Nike Air TW. which i think are still at my parents house must be from 88 89? (i was 9) then on to air max 90 infrareds with the tag on and the tung out. then jordan 6's in black, Reebok pumps, nike air 180's. I remember getting a pair of Nike Air Huarache in about 92. Then on to superstars. I've always been a trainer pervert by the looks of things. Can anyone else think of any other cool kicks from back then?

Mod's... Wasn't sure if this should be in "Customs" or "Other trainers" forum so feel free to move if needed.

I bought a pair of Grey Puma Suedes cheap on eBay a few weeks ago planning my first attempt at customs. You guys know I'm a Superstar guy but finding light colored suede superstars is tough (impossible really) and quite frankly, I used to have a bunch of Clydes, Suedes and Baskets a few years ago but ditched them all and focused on Stars. I've never looked back but I have been missing my old Pumas a bit and thought these Grey's made a great canvas to work with.

I have a pair of al white Superstars that I'm getting ready to paint with a similar but slightly different BrickWorX theme but that will take more time and I'm still waiting on some supplies.

I'm a big fan of Square/Rectangular geometric patterns and don't know that I've ever seen anything like it on a shoe (although it's probably been done, I'm just not personally familiar with any). I also wanted to try and stay clear of the possible comparisons to RobL's work of which I'm a huge fan. But, I understand that these comparisons will be tough to avoid since "the Man's" work and his trademark Puma medium are so well known and appreciated by all... especially over on CT. I was clicking around PumaTalk for the first time a couple weeks ago and saw a thread on padding tongues on Suedes/Clydes and thought I'd blatantly rip it off. It's a great idea and really accents the shoe. Fat tounges are the only way to roll with Pumas

I used 3 (2 each) colored markers, Charcoal, Black & Forest Green. These colors are pretty much my favorite and I felt would accent the light Grey Suede of the Pumas quite well. The coloring work is 100% by hand and patterns were randomly done as I worked. No templates were used by me at all. I'm probably going to fill in the colors a bit more just to combat fading and to make sure it's even. I need to get another green marker first though.

Anyway, Here are the result of my efforts.

CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is welcomed. This is my first attempt at customs so if there are suggestions on methods I can implement to make the process smoother please speak freely.

Yo forum, its been a while since I have posted because I have been on a little buying spree . So without further ado here are my new babies. i just finished my first custom project. i think it's better to call it saving of the superstars than making a custom one.

those were my beaters but i started feeling like they do not deserve to live in the trash can till the end so i started this saving project.
