I don't know what it is about these shoes, but something about them struck me the other day when I was with my friend at an Athletes Foot. I tried the shoe on and it didn't even properly fit since I have a wide foot. I went up a size, and then it became slightly too long. Determined to make the shoes work, I went online and purchased the half-size in between as a compromise in hopes of breaking into the proper width. Anyway, I can't wait until they arrive! I got the Superstar 80s: From The Adidas Website

I feel like they reflect a lot about New York with the Run-DMC connection and will never really go out of style. I hear they're very durable and (hopefully for me) comfortable so they could be the best shoe investment I've made.

The odd thing is that I don't think I have ever been this excited about a shoe before. I don't know what it is about these things, but the style is infective I guess.

Anyway, very cool forum here. Hope to learn a lot about these shoes.

IIRC the latest release was either the drawing pack vins along with those white/bone/boring ones or the silver '60 years of sole' vins.

Either way it's been at least a year, and there's probably been a new pair of 80s released every month in average during that period.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the 80s, but I could sure use some nice new vins too – wouldn't mind if they were suede either

Im a long time superstars fan from berlin, germany.
I can hardly be satisfied with any other shoe. My favorites are the original looking white ones with black stripes. LOVE THEM!

If these shoes are discontinued one day ill walk barefoot.
