My names Rob, I live in Bristol, south west UK. Love superstars and dont wear anything else, I remember wanting a pair so badly when i was little after seeing my brothers box fresh white with black stripes, i thought they were the coolest thing ever (some things never change!).
Currently got 12 pairs of superstars (80's , I's & II's) but always on the look out for more, used to be about quantity but it's definitely shifted to quality. I've recently started looking at customs after getting inspired by Benji Blunt (who else could it have been!) and done a bit of practice work on some old worn outs. But i;m gonna be getting a fresh pair for my first proper custom job very soon. Looking forward to sharing news, photos and bouncing custom ideas around.

Hi everybody , I would like to apologise for my lack of contribution to this fine site ! I have recently changed jobs & went from nights back to days . I've not been on as much as I'd like to have been & I must admit I've missed the banter !

I dug out my collection at the weekend & cleaned & re laced most pairs .

I have a pair of these in a UK 10.5, never worn, boxed with tags.

They are a too big for me as I am a 10 at most.

Anybody want to swap these for a pair of vins or 80s (that I haven't got).

Has anyone bought the Superstar Ripple (or the Pro Shells for that matter) and if so, how do they fit and feel?

Do they fit like regular 80s, are they comfy?

Are they extra padded for winter warmth?

They look heavy because of the extra sole and they have that rubber/plastic thingey on the tongue, but other than that I would think they were pretty much the same.

Any help/info appreciated

Really cannot believe ive never signed up to this before now. Names Dom been into and collected adidas gear for some years and and wearing and collecting superstars for even longer as I can ever remember when I was a young lad my opfirst pair of kicks was a pair of shelltoes. All my kicks are adidas and that's all I've ever owned, lost some over the years and some have been well worn but I have a fair few still box fresh that will never have to worry about feet and socks!!
