I'm new to the site and following the rules of signing in first to say "hi". So here it goes.... what's up? How's everyone? I'm in my late 30's and have worn superstars since I bought the first Run-DMC LP back in 1983. I live in the Central Valley of California. I will usually buy shelltoes any time they are on sale for the great "2 for $90" sale. Can't beat that. I have over 20 pairs of shelltoes and will get some pics posted real soon of the entire collection. I wear them all pretty regularly unless there's inclement weather forthcoming or I know that my destination may be dirty or muddy or otherwise unfriendly to my kicks. I keep them in their original boxes. Well, anyways, that's me. A old dude from California that loves superstars.

Does anyone have any tips for Superstar customization?

I just bought the 35th anniversary adicolor's (all white) and a couple of work mates told me they have to be customized, especially since they come with markers.

So, since I work at a design company, I thought I would hold a competition here with the winner getting to commit their artwork to my new kicks.

Does anyone have any experience with this? How are the markers to use? Is there something better than the supplied markers? Acrylic paint? Spray paint?

No one here at work 'writes', but they are some pretty sick designers so i'm hoping for something cool.
