i'm with sin - fakes don't get more obvious.

Actually, it would be wicked if all fakers did their listings like this - then there would never be any question of actually buying this crap.

A sport shop in Brighton was selling the Goofy 1's in a sale for £35.00, so your telling me they were fake aswell?.

no, it's that anyone who is selling 35th Anniversary legit on the bay tends to know what they are and not just advertise them by the colourway.

Is bad boy even mentioned in the listing?

they also advertise having many sizes. another good sign that they aren't legit. the music series was a limited release and unless the seller stumbled upon a huge cache of deadstock, then there isn't much chance they would have many sizes to offer.

if you really aren't sure, ask the seller to send you pics of the actual shoes and post them up here on the site. The friendly members of this forum will tell you if they're fake or not.

it's strange that most of new members here is starting looking the rarest kicks by lowest price as possible... well, let's see questions about neighborhood for 40$!

they're just not as experienced as you, sin.

it would be interesting if we had a thread devoted to market prices - people could list what they paid for 35th anniversary or other limited issues and it would give (new) members an idea of what certain models should cost based on what others are paying.

aha!

if you look at the back of your 35th anniversary box it will tell you the number of pairs released and you can use that as a relative guide as to what prices should be, knowing that they aren't making any more of them and we're another year on from release.

the lower levels will almost always be cheaper than the higher levels and from there you should think about what relative demand might be, based on what they look like and the relative popularity of the outside partner in the case of collaborations. And, in general, if the shoe looks cool, looks special, has distinguishing features.

so, for instance, if you see the Bad Boys you previously listed, for GBP35, you know that you're looking at a fake: Music series, reasonably popular record label, decent colourway... The price should be somewhat higher. Especially because anyone who's still selling legit 35th Anniversarys knows what they're selling and isn't going to get rid of them so cheaply. And, as I previously mentioned, they're not going to have a lot of different sizes available.

Neither the etched nor the perfs is particularly special and GBP50 seems to be about the right price. Footlocker isn't in the business of selling to serious sneaker fans, so they don't view these shoes as 'special', they just view them as old inventory that has to go.
