Has anyone ever seen a pair like this. Never seen a pair with stitching like this. Is that real or fake?

Hi All,

I'm sure there's an official name for these other than Graffiti Camo (to me, they look like camo with a graffiti twist). Gonna try again to sell or trade these. Anyone out there interested? Send me a PM. I've worn three times distinctly that I can remember. First time, cuz they were new and wanted to show them off. 2nd and 3rd time, not sure why I wore them because I really don't like them. I'm not a big fan of the vin style Confused not sure why.

Oh well.... offers or trades welcomed. A decent offer to include shipping and enough to at least buy me another pair on sale somewhere is all that I'm asking. Make an offer. Go for it. It just might be the one. I'm not attached to these at all.

Taken from a US auction listing (80s made in france soops):

I got these at X-Large in the early 90s and they were deadstock then. If you don't know the story, the X-Large boys went to great lengths to buy up sporting goods stores' dusty backstock of 80s sneakers. When an Adidas rep heard about this, he decided to do a trial run of re-issued Superstars...and the rest is history. Adidas Originals would never have existed without X-Large. Actually reissued vintage sneakers would never have existed without X-Large.

Speaketh the trutheth?

Hi there,
Newbie reporting for first fake-or-not session....

I was looking for Superstars Black-Black but found they're not for sale through Adidas channels in Europe. I found them on the US website but they wouldn't ship them to meSad
So I turned to Ebay, the site I have the best love/hate relationship with throughout the enitre internet....
I found that some people are selling Black-Black in Europe, so I bought these:

After receiving them today, my initial joy was fading fast. The shoes feel somewhat different than I'm used to (and I walk Superstars daily, so I should know). I thought that since all my other superstars are so worn-in, it's probably just that.
But still... The box and the shoes say they're made in India; do they even make these in India??
[Image: _CSC0588Small.jpg] [Image: _CSC0592Small.jpg]

Also, the shell toe is looking a bit weird. It's pretty shiny and it looks like it doesn't fit very well. The 'xxx' part of the shell doesn't go all they way up into the laces as it does for my other Superstars and the fit isn't snug where it's stitched at the sole:
just for reference; here's another pair of Superstars: (as if you guys don't know what Superstars look like LOL) these have no space at all between the lower front of the shell and the tip of the sole.

I've got some more minor leads, I'm just full of doubt Confused

I went to the local Adidas shop (that has them all except Black/Black Mad ) and had a look; maybe my worn-in pairs of Superstars are not the best reference.
What did I find?
-Some pairs in the shop showed pretty much all of the things I mention above. (Great, still learned nothing...)
-None are made in India.
This leaves questions; are these just monday-morning pairs that aren't put together as neat as some others? Are some Superstars made in India (maybe those for US market since Black/Black is only for sale officially there)??

Who can help?

I'll spare you the rest of the pics since this is a pretty lon post already Wink

Thanks in advance!
