Anyone know if i buy a phone from the states (amazon.com to be precise)
will it work normally over here in the uk..will there be any differences?

As long as it's unlocked and quad band you should be ok. You'll have to get another charger tho'.

i reacon contract will be around 40 - 45 a month for 18 months
better to get it on pay and go
as i already got a great 7quid sumfin a month contract
and a three quid a month contract

fair do's... if you got an old contract thats cheap then it makes more sense to do that, rather than get tied into a new one. will work out roughly the same, over 12 months, but if you keep the phone longer you will start saving

and yh 12 months it would work out the same but contracts would be 18/24 months

thats propa shit that they have stopped doing the 12 month conract, i got one last year, but they wernt happy me not having an 18 month one.... its mad the speed that the technology is moving at and the want you locked in for 2 years

I'm waiting impatiently for the N900 to be released here, want to get it on a new business contract... keep getting hounded by indian call centres every fortnight about upgrading my plan

as if you only keep a phone for a month or two?

is Nokia available to send internationally with amazon?
last time I tried to get a couple of adidas things from there it wouldnt allow me due to some international laws?
