If he ships with DHL, it´s really expensive.
>> click <<
40 € without insurance - 62 € with insurance (500 €)
If you see that, 50 € postage isn´t unusual...

Depending on the service and chosen options (tracking, insurance,..), shipping supes from France to Australia by their own ColiPoste or Chronopost costs on average between ~35 € - 73 € so i'd say 50 € would be acceptable if it's a signed for parcel.

And for a decent pair of Supes I'd want them to be trackable.

Well unfortunately for the Aussies.. the French don't even offer tracking to that region with ColiPoste but only notification of delivery when reached destination. With Chronopost there are some tracking available but the shipping would then probably cost more than actually flying there and picking them up personally.

How do you know these things Grimmy?!
Also, slightly off topic but while I remember, where did you get the laces you put in your Meth's? Sure it was you who did a brilliant flip.

Haha knowing is what walkin' encyclopedia does. (Yeah, right.. like i would really know so much). For reals, i went to French post's site and found my way onwards from there to various other French postal service related sites and to the parcel price calculations and so on.
As for your query yes, i was the one who got the fatter matching blue laces for my Meth's. The laces are spares from the white/blue/purple supe 86 B-Boys from "4 Elements Of Hip Hop" series. I'm not really that big a fan of the shoes themselves but got them for a great bargain earlier this year so i grabbed them. They came with 2 sets of the blue laces and 1 set of dark purple laces. The other set of blues i have in the Blue Note PM's to which they match very well too.

Got some mail from my mother in law today. Including a notice that there's a parcel waiting for me at the post office.
And I have to pay $190.00 in customs and taxes on it.
