Hi guys, I don't know if anyone has posted about this before but i haven't seen it so thought it might be worth mentioning. I was watching watchdog tonight because it had an item on fake goods on Ebay and they mentioned fake adidas. They had a guy from adidas look at a pair of Y3s and he said he could instantly tell that they were fakes because one of the numbers on the ID tag was the same. I checked out all my pairs that i know to be genuine and the last number that on the label was different on each shoe. Ie on a pair of stan smiths the number is 'kjjmdlhj00008' on the left shoe and 'kjjmdlhj00135' on the right. On a pair of G5 camos it was 'kv4cdh1c00009' and 'kv4cdh1c00016' same was true of my G4 Kermits and on some running shoes i've got. Does anyone know if this is true of all adidas and has anyone got any fakes which have the same number on each tag, or even genuine ones with the same number for that matter. If this holds up it could be a real easy way to check if they are right.

Hope this is useful stuff.

Ebay item no: 180041500601
Hope that works

I was the winning bidder on these a week or so ago.
Please let me know what you think. They seem ok to me but I am no expert by any means...
They came with the 3 pairs of laces, correct logo on the lace tag, and the elastic inside to wear without laces. New seller to ebay who doesn't have loads of pairs that he is trying to shift....
If fake.... whoops - never mind. I will learn from experience.
If real - then I am quite a happy chap!!

Thanks for any input/advice

Cheers,

Mark
