Cabbage Rant

I guess it was always on the cards after the same thing happened at No.74 in Berlin..but 22 pairs outta 40 is taking the piss..
But saying that if you'd shopped at No.6 for afew yrs and blown countless £££'s over the years and where a good customer you maybe deserve a pair to be put aside too.
I'm with Wildone so glad i didn't travel down and waste £90 on train tickets for nothing.
Hope you get lucky with a pair via the bay if nothing else Al (not for silly money either)
Pokey i was told no deals, nothing set aside first come first served. (But i'm silly why would i even think there would be deals )

is a joke tbh.

Do they only come in one colour as the pairs for sale from Japan for example look a lot creamier in colour than Pokey's or is it just the flash photography?

I made it up to the cabbage drop and I can see why a lot of people were well and truely pissed off. Naturally peeps were concerned about how many were available in certain sizes so they could decide whether
it was worth queing all night for. Some of the guys asked for a break down of what was available and it all seemed reasonable enough. It was said that there would be 1 or 2 of the lower and upper sizes
available and from around the size 8's to 11's there were about 3 or 4 pairs of each including half sizes, but by the morning these numbers had changed quite a bit.

In the end there were only 2 pairs in size 9, I think only 2 size 10's, and there weren't any size 8's or 7.5s available at all. Some of the guys near the front had queued for size 8's too.
A lot of people who had queued through the night were pissed off and decided to either leave, or, because they had already put in the hours, buy any size they could to re-sell.
It's not a good way to do things cos people ended up buying sizes that they had no intention of wearing which ultimately stopped others in the queue from getting their true size.

Would you be good enough to participate in this morning's edification?

It's just insane this cabbage drop. A big hype it is and a lot of disappointed people.

For me there is just too much hype for a pretty average shoe, just because it has a monkey on it people have gone nuts. Some friends of a friend queued and they're all nike fanboys.
I'm not really fussed plus Pokey will probably sell me his in a year or 2 Very Happy

That's not the point... No matter what shoe it is, if you get people all worked up, tell them to come and queue for 40 pairs - then sell half of them out the back door - it's just poor form. Ape or no ape.

Like he said. Anyway fook 'em I'm gonna take some pairs off my wanted list with the funds I haven't wasted on these.

Out of the 15 or so people I chatted to in the queue only about 5 of them seemed to be buying for themselves, the others were quite blatant about cashing in on ebay.

Would you be good enough to participate in this morning's edification?
