Yes, it's Original Gangster, as in someone who's been around for a while and a day. And FC is partially right too, 'cause in certain parts of the US you can grab Old Gold brand cigarettes which are lovingly referred to as OG's since the branding almost literally implies the same status for a person or object.

I think you'll find, when associated with trainers or the like, OG is original. As used by addidas to discribe an original colourway
