I've been after a pair of Bordeaux's since the first time I saw them on here. I realise that in my daily search, for almost 2 years straight, I've never seen a single pair of them for sale on eBay, and only purchased from one member on here to another.
I know FP's and NHBD's. Unions, Tates etc are rarer in terms of production, but I've seen them around on an almost weekly basis in one size or another - if you've got the money, they'll be around in your size if you're patient.. but Bordeaux's?
What's the rarest supe in your hunting/shopping experience?

Ahh yes, the "limited edition paradox," where limited shoes are easier to find than non-limited ones. The way I figure, with a lot of the limited releases, a much smaller percentage of the people who buy them actually wear them, and a much larger percent hold onto them to sell them for profit, which is why they seen so often despite being limited. The non-limited stuff like the bordeauxs, which I remember seeing in abundance in many shops in LA, end up being purchased and worn at much higher rates, making it very hard to find a new pair since they weren't "limited" and therefore not kept by as many people for the intention of selling later.
But I digress, a few pairs I've had some trouble finding are the black/white stripe/white shell SSI (finally found a few years ago) and the snakeskin stripe SSIs (both black and white), which I haven't been able to track down for the life of me.

I did buy my Bordeauxs (dead stock) on the bay. They were a size 10 and I was the only bidder. Got them for a bargain. I couldn't believe it because like you I had never seen them for sale anywhere else. I guess I was extremely lucky. What size are you? If I ever spot a pair I can give yoju a heads up.
The rarest supe for me would be the cracked vanillas. I remember them seeing them on a webshop about a year ago. But not my size. I liked the cw and I just had to own a pair. Never seen them afterwards. Untill recently and I got my chance to buy them.

Over the few years I've been more seriously into supe collecting, I've come across pretty much every pair in my wantlist every now and then but usually at a time when I can't afford to buy any pair and later they've naturally not been available anymore.
The only pair from my list I've never seen in my size anywhere are Baxter-Neal loam/lava cw skates, the ones with the pine tree print on the heel. Been after them since they came out about 2 years ago but only ever seen other sizes, even in the shops when they were released.
I've seen the bordeaux's a few times on the bay but not too often.
