I thought you meant which deck as in the left or right deck. I can always scratch, mix etc better when going from left to right, my right hand just don't work the fader quite like old leftie can. Then again, I'm no DJ, just a guy who thinks he's Jazzy Jeff after a few beers.

It ain't neccessarily what you wrote isn't correct, just how it came through in my mind. I read it as "which one of the 2 turntables"x whereas if you said "which brand or model of deck" would've made it clearer for numpties such as myself. Anyway, maybe some would prefer Vestax to Technics?

I thought the second question might crop up but I only want to know between Technics decks.
Still don't see how you got what you did.
You're weird !
I just want to know, if you DJs had their choice and money was no object (hope I don't regret saying that !) which deck would you have two of ?
Christ on a bicycle, I didn't think this was gonna be this hard.

Me? Weird? whatever gave you that idea?

Ok, I'll play properly. I would have a set of 1200s, simply because they're old skool and therefore by default are better. I'll leave any technical reasons to be explained by someone who actually knows what the fuck they're talkin about.

Vestax? But they're horrible!! If you really can't get into Technics, get Numark TTX1 then.
1210s for me anyway.
I did have the silver 1200s in the early days of my DJ career. Some years ago when i wasn't DJing actively anymore i got a great bargain for the 1210 M5GEs so i couldn't resist the change to black even if i was DJing mainly for myself and at occasional house parties. I wish there would have been 1200s of of the M5GEs tho to match all my other gear. I like all the changes and improvements they did with the Mk5/M5 models.

You might have hit the nail on the head there Steve.
Might have to roll with 1200s cos they are, by design, Silver.

you can get different colour coverplates that sit over the top of the deck if you want a different colour etc.

I voted for 1210s, 'cause that's what I have
The silver 1200s do look more oldschool, but the 1210s do look slightly better IMO – and they match most mixers better as these are usually black...LOL...
That said, the 1200s would have matched my Technics DZ SL-1200 CD player better ('cause it's silver) – so now it sort of stands out next to the 1210s. I guess you can't win them all
WOW, how's that for a rambling...
Ooh, Technics turntable jewellery - I like the sound of that.
When?
How much?
How big?
How many?
Can I put them in a chain and hang them around my neck like a charm?
Superstars are indeed super...
