just got delivered. they are nice, have sort of a nylon stripe and heel patch.

I have a pair of SS Skates that I want to paint white inbetween the three stripes (so they stand out more) but have just noticed that the material is some sort of fabric and not canvas/leather.
Should I just use fabic paint instead?

I'd have said yes.
But if it's Nylon, you're only gonna be coating the surface and not actually changing the colour of the fabric itself.
Could end up being quite fragile.

Indeed, have just had a closer look and it is nylon so painting is out of the question - possibly some sort of white tape might work, even gluing on some white leather strips.
Bit of a quandry now - do not want it to look shit.

But if the stripes don't stand out from the main colour of the shoe and you go gluing bit of leather in between them, from a distance people will think you're rockin two-stripes! 
Can you not colour the stripes in to make them stand out more?

Naw, I like the stripes being cherry/burgundy and the skate is white.
The bit inbetween the stripes (nylon) is also cherry but would be far better in white.
