I would never wear those at festivals. Something dark with black sole is much better.

I like these.. on a vin though. I'd definitely buy the off white and make myself a olive one with dye.
But still these are highly customisable by anyone.. which is kind of cool. I'd have pitched it like that too, especially for a festival.

The bluebirds are alright but the rest can go suck a goat.

I've come to realise that quite often it's not the shoe I particularly dislike so much as the way it's being marketed to me. A lot of the time I just don't want to buy into that image or the "lifestyle"  that is being promoted. For me, most of the supes adidas has put out lately has just felt tacky, kitsch and outright aimed at kids, hypebeasts and Jonny-Come-Lately.

^^^ Nail, Head.
How many "hype" releases has there been this year already? We've had the staggered 10th anniversary, Pharrell's shit, Bape x Undftd, lux supes (theres probably been about 5 RUN DMC releases that I've missed!!!) and I'm sure I've missed something. They're out of control at Adi Towers.

Beating out the Superstar cash-cow for all it's worth. There just doesn't seem to be a happy medium for Superstar collectors. You're either stuck in the middle of a shelltoe drought so bad you begin eyeing up some ghastly Noike shit in a bid to satisfy your cravings or you're being bombarded with wave after wave of weak-sauce releases, before heading back to dry season again with an occasional good quality, no-nonsense shoe being offered maybe once or twice a year at best.

I know people will always say "vote with your feet, don't buy them if you don't like them" but the real issue with a deluge of offerings is the build/materials quality dip dramatically in a bid to increase the profit-margins.

How is the quality on the footpatrols guys?
What's also weird is the fact that those bape undftds were cheaper than the 10th annis. Why was that.

To be fair, the quality of the 10th anni Supes does seem top-notch but they do have a strange, almost overpowering "new shoe" smell! If you're going for the FPs be sure to buy a can of Crep Protect or something similar as they will mark easily. I didn't bother with the Bapes, how much were they at retail?

In my experience it is furniture grade leather that smells funny. Not suggesting these are..
If I'm honest I couldn't pick any of those up as money is so tight these days. But it was only the Neighborhood I found mildly interesting. Even then I would trade two pairs of those for a pair of the Bedwins. I get the sense the quality collabs sneak up on you a little more discreetly than the models from the big hype campaigns. When I look at the Tates I see pure quality; a concentration on getting everything right. That's what I want. Just hope I have the peas if it ever comes back.
