Meh, that hairy stuff just doesn't work on stripes. Neither on these nor the previous X-Large Campus 80s with leopard stripes. Had the upper been giraffe allover I think they would have worked better.

Black suede sounds good though, maybe the giraffe fur can be shaved off...

I love the pro model splits, just missed out on a pair on the Bay, I hate the Bay, all the sniping and shit, does my nut in!! Need a UK10.5 if you know of any....

Ebay Nick, lots of David Beckhams still out there.. though some ARE b grades so ask for pics of the actual shoes and inspect on receipt.
Not many others about, the white on white ones and some of the (new) vintage ones look more like 80s than vins to me.

I do have a black pair of the DB's, were they all nubuck? The DB's, pretty sure they are, just worried that they won't be a good enough quality, now I have the perfect 80's I need to find their perfect partner

I used to have some denim ones very similar to those back in about 1995.

They didn't fray at all and at the time were worn day in day out!
