Removing the coating and turning them into nubuck/suede is a labourious process but far easier than a total rebuild.

Finally got a confirmation from Hanon about the craftsman vins when I asked them about the situation. The pics they have there are indeed of a sample pair which have been changed to the white striped ones for the release so if you pre-order those vins, you'd recieve the white striped ones instead. Update your damn pics Hanon!
