Ello from Kyoto
#1

Hello everyone,

Name's Dan. Born in UK/live in Japan. Been wearing out 2 pair of standard white/black superstars for a couple of years. Broke up with the missus, moved out on my own and decided I needed some new garms and shoes. Trying to find the perfect pair of Superstars led to an Internet search and finding this place. Got 4 pairs now but to be honest I look for Superstars that I connect with rather than what's rare - I don't really like any of the 35th anniversary series except Berlin (which looks mint).

I live in Japan but it's not a big advantage in terms of finding Superstars cos I'm size UK 11.5/30cm and most Japanese shoes only go up to 28.5cm. Then again, when you see some ones like the ones below and they've got them in 29cm you take a deep breath and promise yourself you'll wear thin socks with them!

(Sorry for shit quality, only got iPhone)

Got some (similarly poor quality) pictures of some other colourways I saw out shopping today, maybe JP excloose? If anybody could tell me the best thread to post the pictures in I'd appreciate it...
...and just after I post that, a knock at the door. It's the postie. With these ones:

Indoor shoes innit - Kurobe or Clogs are the ones.

Ashiato = footprints in Japanese.

Quite impressive, (Nihon ni ikitai, if i remember my basic jap correctly) looks like we finally got a member who can show us what the Jap's get out there, the only thing is that we're all on western times (minus steve O and wherever the hell Cracky claims to be from) as far as i know so we'll only catch you in the early hours but i hope to see you around the boards thumbright

Welcome! Very Happy
