Probably helped Rafa let him go forward, he's much better as a box-to-box type player like Petrov at Celtic/Villa. He's just gonna look shit compared to Mascherano when told to play solely as a defensive midfielder.

Well that's nice! I got my old pair the same way. Previous owner told me that the other one makes weird noises. RRP was around 3000 and got them for 350.
