7 carats for £100k?! If you want a quality ring, you might get 3 carats for that if you're lucky.
Not taking Mr. P's place or anything but I know the price of a diamond (ring) depends on several things and it's impossible to calculate a specific price by carats alone. I also know the prices go up incrementally the more carats/the bigger diamond you want. So if a 1 carat ring costs roughly about £10-13 000, a 2 carat ring will cost much more than just double that. I remember reading somewhere that a 4 carat ring would cost about £150-160 000 on average. So I'd expect a 7 carat ring to cost LOTS!!!!!!

It's not quite clear cut but if you double the size of a Diamond in a given colour and clarity, you should quadruple the price, or thereabouts.
I'd get you a high quality 1ct Diamond ring for about £7,500 but if you want 2cts I'd be wanting something around £25,000 off you.

Don't think so, but I have worked for the Finnish branch of the software & hardware company Oracle for one summer if that counts.
