Vin Sizing
#1

Had a quick search and i couldn't find much.

Seen a pair of VINs in a UK9. I think i am more of a UK9.5.

However, i have never bought a pair of vins so i am wondering about the sizing, do they fit more like SS1s? Or SS2s?
Basically wanting to know if they fit bigger or smaller then you expected Smile

Thanks

I personally reckon they come up quite big.
I bought my usual 10 and could easily have gone down to a 9.5.

Cluskey i'd say you'd b ok m8 they'll probo fit u perfect.Normally i can wear uk7 and uk7.5s and b ok but with vins i can get away wit 6.5 and 7s but not 7.5s

It's not the size of the feet!!it's the amount of quality on em

Oooops, I'm all backwards here, I was thinking about 80s.
Vintages, if they're suede I prefer a 9.5, otherwise stick with your normal size or just go down a quarter !

never ceases to amaze me the speed of replies on here, its great Laughing
I think i might go for them, especially if they go pretty cheap.

I'd say it's pretty mixed response but i want to risk it now Smile
Thanks once again

Cracky- The auction ends tomorrow, although i may run to the shops after work and try find a pair to try.

Just let me get this straight, Vin Lux and SS 80s are different sizing?

Also, any 'common' vins on sale just now i might be able to see easily?

Not many about at the moment really, size should have something, I'd have thought.
I'd have said, all in all, that Vins and 80s come up a little bigger. IMHO.

If you win them and they don't fit, i'm sure someone will take them off your hands, if they go for a good price that is, but me personally i would run to them shops and try before i buy. Very Happy ( if you can find any that is )

80s definitely half a size bigger. Which sucks for me as 9s are too small but 10s are too big (both uncomfortable Sad)

Vin Lux's are perfect I reckon (soft toe'd and rubber toe'd). Got 10.5 in both types and they're both just a bit too big (I'm normally a 10)

edit: The vin lux's I have are the MMVII and the brown/green/cream soft toes. They are different to "standard" vins and so I can't comment on the fit of normal vins, only lux's

I only own 1 pair of vins (not counting 80s) and they are too big on me at a 10.5 US. Normally I can work the 10.5 easy, but I wish I had these in a size 10 even 9.5. I'd say you will be fine.... I think they are more narrow than other soops, which is why some people have trouble with them being too small.

Vins def are more narrow, but true to size, length-wise...that being said, buying a bigger size won't provide much help in getting wider, so you're best to stay as is...80s are bigger IMHO...I could've gone a half size down, but I just wear thicker socks!Cool

I'm a UK 11 in all Supes: 1s, 2s, vins, 80s whatever.

80s do seem bigger though, but I think it's mainly in width. I tried a UK 10.5 in a shop and at first it seemed fine, but after having strolled around in the shop for a couple of minutes I got the feeling they weren't long enough and got some UK 11s instead.

Vins fit pretty much like all other Supes IMO, I could get away with UK 11.5 in vins and 2s, but wouldn't do it with 80s.

Superstars are indeed super...
