So.. Go on, spill it.. what you been doing?

Damn, FC! I did a little over 6km this morning in the rain.

I'm counting cookies as carbs. Home made chocolate chip cookies...

Nothing wrong with your distance Lorrie, as long as you do some, it all counts.

Training has been awful for this HM, had a virus and sore foot in Feb so only last 4 weeks have been able to run.

8.5m was the longest I've ran since last HM back in October.

Note to self: no trying for a PB on sunday! Confused

Seriously.

I'm racing on nike+ with a co-worker who's training for a HM in June. I did 15km over the weekend to take the lead. She was pretty pissed. Especially since I didn't upload until after she'd blown off her scheduled 10km for 6.5km. She's taken to hitting me every morning. Doesn't help that I'm quoting Bruce Lee, 'Be like water' and telling her that to beat me she's going to have to read The Art Of War.

I ran 5k at the gym tonight. Doesn't sound that impressive but if you added up the distance I've ran in the last few years it wouldn't come close to that!

It was fuckin' obvious that that cunt was gonnae fuck some cunt.

Good for you, fella. I really hadn't run seriously in about 10 years and during those 10 years I had a pack a day cigarette habit. First run was 4km, next was 5km and now I'm running anywhere between 6-8 a shot.

Have to admit, the nike+ chip and having someone to challenge (and crush and see driven before you and hearing the lamentations of their women) is really motivating.

I wish I could run.
If I even try to run my lower back starts giving me serious gip before I've made 5 paces.

trying to decide what phone to buy myself.

Looking to buy one outright... not too sure to go the iphone route though :s

tossing up between a 16Gb 3G iphone, or a Nokia n97 mini...

any recommendations? hard to pass up on the idea of the iphone... but i do love my buttons aswell...is the camera really that shit on the iphone? heard mixed reviews on that part..
Doesnt seem like the nokia's touch is anywhere near as fluid...

trying to keep the purchase under 500 bucks..so ebay is my best option haha mite have to dip a bit steeper to afford an iphone though Sad

Sorry to tell you Niko, but that Nokia N97 mini is crap.
I tried it a couple of days and only good things are keyboard and camera, though that keyboard is very small. That touch screen is nowhere near the iphones.
N97 mini is a small and if they figure out how to make that screen better through firmware updates then it might turn OK.
Samsung's new Wave is coming out in a couple of weeks and there you have a real competitor for iPhone. That should also be under 500...

I totally understand but this new model might change your mind. Been testing it a couple of times (we have some of those for testing) and it's really different than old samsungs.
But if you can't go wrong with iPhone. Still my choice numero uno.

Seriously what's wrong with a nokia 6300? Wink

I took up running nearly ten years ago to keep the love handles down and also because I wasn't playing enough footy (still have two pairs of boots in the wardrobe Cool), I love the solitude of running, still find it hard to run with anyone.

Hated my first Great North Run - too many people! Very Happy

Yes, I definitely run alone. I can't listen to music either as it screws up my breathing.

For phones, is the Google phone a choice? House mate was given one at TED and is a fan. And it has sold better than the iPhone on release, so you know there will me mad app development.
