went and watched Adelaide United youth team play today, if they won they'de top the ladder, but unfortunately they lost 1-0
witnessed one of the worst tackles I've ever seen in my life and just read the article saying our player that was on the receiving end of this tackle had both bones in his right leg broken and now requires major surgery and rods to be inserted etc
worst of all the ref only gave a yellow card for the tackle

Why is a two footed tackle so dangerous ?
I don't get it.

usually because the studs are showing and can make a mess of other players leg.
Also the amount of sideways force on a standing leg can knacker ligaments, bones, etc.
Or were you being facetious Mr P?

Went for breakfast (first outing for the grey suede vins), bought a bit of produce and have just finished putting together a beef stew.
Off to work now!

Yep, there will be dumplings too.
And your posts are much more coherent than Sab's.

Went to see Faith No More live in concert last week - one of the best live acts I've seen, it's hard to believe they spent a large portion of the last decade broken up.

It was super epical, just about all the tracks I could have asked for, although I did miss Falling to Pieces.
Eagles of Death Metal opened - I'd never listened to any of their stuff, but they were really entertaining live - just a pity Josh Homme didn't come with them...

Wow, that's quite the double bill. I've not seen EODM live, but I've heard they're amazing. Wonder if FNM will continue this tour in North America or if this was just a good way to have a nice vacation in Aus.

EODM was actually really cool - especially the guitarist who looked like he was someone's Grandad, rocking out on a Flying Vee like nobody's business in his flannel shirt.
The trip downunder was the 'Second Coming' tour for FNM- they've only been this way once before (about ten years ago). After that I think they're heading back for a few Cali dates then???
