Trying to recover from last nights adventures, good job the shops quiet today!
I fell in a spikey bush last night and my arm is covered in cuts and grazes... stupid spikey bushes!

Yes mate.
Deuter backpacks fuckin' rock.
I've had one for years and crammed it full of nuff heavy shit and regularly, like an idiot, pick it up with the zip with no effect.
No stitching has come undone, it's pretty much bombproof.
After I bought my new laptop, I went looking for a laptop backpack and tried two out by Pakuma and Ogio and neither were all that comfortable or sturdy with stitching popping all over the place under the same pressures as the Deuter.
I'm now looking to pick up a proper laptop pack made by them and to hell with what it costs frankly cos I know it'll last as long as I do !

Yes Deuter backpacks are the way to go if you want them to last and last and last without coming apart no matter what you carry in them. German fabric engineering in its finest.
As for Mr P and the Deuter laptop back, you tried any of these models: Giga Travel, Giga Office or Gigant Daypack? They all feature a well padded laptop section designed for a max 17" laptop.

Mrs Fantana has gone out for the day so it's a day of classic films off the Sky+ box (originals of Poseidon and Pelham 123), Pro Evo on the PS3 and crisps/biscuits/ice cream...

No not as in carne P. Just a festival all about chillis. I'm currently lying in bed with galloping gut rot because of one of the chilli sauces/pastes.

That sounds terribly painful.
Think I've had a bit too much sun here in 'darkest Canada'. Minor headache setting in. Might be time for a litre of water before the day's requisite 4 litres of beer
