I have the blue pt's which is why I didn't go for these - saying that I have white/black stripe SS2s, SS1s and 80s so actually having 2 different models in the same cw clearly isn't an issue for me.
Looks like I'll be picking up a pair then....

blue suede 80's looking good in them pic's.. shell not being white issue could be resolved for me if they drop in price.. will have to keep an eye out incase they make it to the sale section

Probably because everyone is gonna buy them now! Main reason I got them now, figured they'd sell like the proverbial hot cakes and once they're gone, they're gone! I wouldn't wait around if I were you.
