Question about Adidas Superstar TATE
#1

Hi all,

I've just bought a pair of Adidas SS35 TATE and there are some scratches on the leather.

Has anyone ever seen these shoes in real ? Pics ?

Thanks for your knowledge

Yes, I have seen them, quite a waxy leather to them. Try a decent neutral polish from KIWI (other polishes are available Smile Smile )

Sorry mate, here we go. Shoes are 100% authentic, but I thought that strange with those scratches but it makes them original and nice. Leather is really good quality.

Those aren't authentic I'm afraid (check the heels, they have little nipples) BUT Tates did come with scratched effect leather. Click here to see the genuine article to compare against (also note the really light scratches, yours are a lot heavier)

I bought them from the seller on eBay, I read on this forum they were authentic.

Anth, what are you on fella ?
Those scratches are supposed to be there !
Sorry you ended up with fakes Charlie, I doubt very much that anybody in here would've told you they were genuine.

mate, there was a topic about this Superstar TATE on eBay and everyone was saying they were legit. Then when people talked about them price went up and they ended at 600usd.

That was like like 3-4 weeks ago. Anyone should remember ?

How can I see those are fakes please ? May I take other pictures ? I told the seller to come over here to see what is going on.

Did you miss my post? Very Happy

In addition to the heel clit/nip check that picture of the stripes. The stitching is really unbalanced (check the left side of the two stripes pictured - major difference). Also, the stitching right at the front (next to the shell, where the main body meets the lace strip) has a curve to it where the real thing is much more angular.

Check the link in my first post here to compare yours to a genuine pair.

Including Stylz saying so... and no saying they are fakes.... Sad

Yeah, I just found that post. They were wrong I think. Check the tags on them, both should be on the inside of both pairs but one of them is on the outside (the right shoe). Due to the (quality of the) pictures everything else looked legit.

This is why it's extra important to always, ALWAYS ask for close-up pics just to be 100% sure. Serials have to be checked, close-ups of heels and other giveaway spots, etc..

Yeah I know mate, these shoes are fake. I have other SS35 legit and the font on the tag of the box is different. i am really pissed because this seller lied to me and actually I do not live in England. I have told Paypal for this fraud but I do not know if i will see my money back Sad

Really sorry about this, I didn't see it but it appears plenty of people did.
I'm speechless, frankly, the shoes in that listing are clearly fake, never mind the laces, look at the end of the box for fuck's sake !
Guys, I feel more than slightly let down.
This chap, for the minute at least, has been severely fucked over acting on bad information he got from us in here.

Thank you mate for helping me here. I saw my thread locked and I was pissed because I am not trying to bother you with my problems but hey I spent lots of money on those and Paypal/Seller are reading this thread right now so please do not let me down.

I know It is a bad situation, I've been collecting for 10 years, on forums since 2001/02... so I know it is quite boring. But I really thought they were authentic reading all the people saying so + 100% feedbacks 200+ since 2003.

But they are definitely fake, reason why I posted pictures here when I first received them this morning.

Thanks for your help !
