Hello everyone, another new face for you to judge whether worthy enough to bestow your wisdom upon

Here's my backstory. I'm 23 and live in the Uk and a part of the Uk that's made nice trainers part of my upbringing.
In regards to my topic title, I come to you converted from a reebok worshipper!

How it goes is this, (and bear with me untill I get to the superstars part )I got my first pair of reeboks when they were "in" and it's been that way ever since. My last pair were my pride and joy, pure grey dubbles, never seen another pair in my life.
But as we grow older our tastes change and for the last *year* I have had my eyes peeled on trainer sites, looking for that perfect pair of superstars.

I think they have to mean something to you which is why it's important for me to get the perfect pair, not just a great pair.
For me it's a small part individuality and a small part standing out from the crowd. That's why I've mostly been looking at bright colours.

Today I think I may have stumbled across them by means of an eBay auction (possibly selling fakes.) I'm 100% sure these trainers were genuinely made and released but try as I might I cannot find them anywhere.
In my searching I came across this forum and I really hope I can get some opinions on my choice of trainer and where to find it.

About these Superstars, can you give us anything to go on? Pictures, description or E-bay item number, there are loads of bright coloured superstars out there. Most people are more than willing help, especially a damsel in distress.

Whereabouts in UK are you from? We've people from all over the UK and the world who could help you in your quest.

As for your serach of the perfect Superstar.... Is that a rhetorical question?

As in "What's perfect for me?"

There are so many that are perfect for me depending on the day and mood.

If you like BRIGHT (A woman after my own heart, I'm the King of bright Superstars here).... there are some good options that have just been released, and some classics that you may be able to locate with some patience and elbow grease.

Yeah sure I have a picture and I'm also 98% sure they're from the Superstars II range. I just wanted to introduce myself before I start bombarding you with my questions

I've seen them done in pink as well, but I prefer these. Never been a pink girl really, green is my favourite colour but now and then I choose orange over green cos it packs so much more of a punch!

Feel free to correct me on any of the rumours I've heard about these trainers, and perhaps I'm on my way to tracking some of these down

I just realised how tame these must look to you veterans when I mentioned about standing out from a crowd! It's my first step from a very sheltered life where shoes have been grey or brown so, for me it's a big leap. Just bear that in mind before you suggest me some lovely rainbow lookalikes. It's probably just the beginning anyway

These are Journey's exclusives.

Last years's release... I see them on sale at all the Journey's here in the States. I think they're going for under $40.

You'll want to keep an eye out on eBay... That's probably the only place you'll be able to get them in the UK from the States.

Post your shoe size for the masses and someone might spot a pair for you.

Hi Jen, welcome!! Loved your introduction. King is most definately right, those were Journey exclusives. They must have sold out on them since I haven't seen those in their stores for some time now. I regret not picking them up when I saw them.

Want to thank everyone for the warm welcome and such fast replies! It almost makes me want to hunt down more exclusive and rare trainers, oh dear I can see this becomming an addiction

That's some pretty good news so far. Do you think the ones I saw on eBay going for £25 could have in fact been real then seeing as they may be going for $40 in the US?
I'll definately keep my eyes open for trusted sellers but there's nothing like buying a new pair of trainers from a store, getting them in their new box and smelling that smell, so if I can get brand new ones that one I'd be so chuffed.

As for my size, I was going to ask some advice on how adidas trainers fit. I've never owned a pair myself although at the moment I'm using a pair of my sister's old running style adidas at the gym. They say Uk size 5.5, US size 6 and strangely Japanese size 245! They come up slightly short though.
I vary between 5.5 all the way to 7 with shoes but 6 is my most comfortable. As with most trainers though, the smaller you can get them the better I think they look so do superstars come up short, long, narrow, wide.. or are they about average?

Ahh, I checked out Journeys Shoes and that is in fact the only site I could find linked with those trainers. I arrived there after finding a picture of the trainers on image search.
They don't appear to be on the site at the moment, although there does seem to be a black and white version for the guys.
Are they something that come on for a season and then are swapped for something else? Is perhaps eBay my best shot.

Ebay's your best bet for these.. don't reckon they've been faked. £25 seems about right for 'em.

Journeys just stocks them for a short while then just doesn't sell them anymore. Your best bet would be ebay or an Adidas outlet since I have seen some Journeys exclusives there from time to time.
