Sneakerphile Wrote:I always check the weather before I go out. If there's any chance of rain at all, the suedes stay at home, only the leathers get to go out. If it's gona rain quite a bit, then dark leather with dark laces only (you can never seem to get white laces clean again once dirty water spalshes over them!) If it's REALLY gonna piss down, then fuck, I stay at home...I hate the rain!
Fortunately, I have enough pairs to allow for practically all weather conditions.Very Happy

I'll second that!

check the weather by looking out the window, weighed up with if it looks anything but dry then I won't wear them if I have to go out at lunch or anyhting further than home to the car, car to the office, and back again Smile

hmph

I'm not Southern, I'll have you know.

If you can go out in the rain with suede kicks on and not care you've got to be

1. rich

2. wearing an old pair.

Don't think it matters which part of the country you're in if it pisses it down and you've got suede kicks on, personally.

Rain = kryptonite to suede

Bollocks!

How about 3. - Not a fucking pedant Laughing

Rain does not ruin suede unless you plan on walking around in it for a week, a bit of TLC and they'll be good as new!

Trainer pedant.

I fookin am! Laughing

I know rain ruins suede, it's happened to me on more than one occasion. It can also cause the material to splodge or colours to run into each other. Had a beautiful pair of blue noike Court Traditions that got bloody huge splash stains on them from the rain! Looked like I'd gone mental with some bleach or something. Crying or Very sad

The rain is not too bad, it's the mud and dirt that follows the rain I worry about. I don't think a pair of light coloured suede Bad Boys will look too good if worn on a rainy day...

This is a contradiction in terms:

"a beautiful pair of blue noike Court Traditions "
