Cant believe people check the weather to decide what shoes to wear, all seems/is a bit lame, whats the worst that could happen honestly? a bit of rain?

No suedes in your collection?

I used to be carefree, much like you, oh yes! Ruined about 4 pairs of suedes that way and since then when the rain unexpectedly starts I'm away like a greyhound

I usually check the weather, and I've got a coupla pairs I won't wear if there's a chance of crap, but I have, on two occasions, grabbed a couple of plastic bags from work to cover my shoes to walk out to the car with after an unexpected weather change

Rubber bands at the top of two carrier bags - job's a good un.

Very true, I cant remember the last day it didnt rain, snow or hail

I always check the weather before I go out. If there's any chance of rain at all, the suedes stay at home, only the leathers get to go out. If it's gona rain quite a bit, then dark leather with dark laces only (you can never seem to get white laces clean again once dirty water spalshes over them!) If it's REALLY gonna piss down, then fuck, I stay at home...I hate the rain!
Fortunately, I have enough pairs to allow for practically all weather conditions.
