Scotland's the same, people need to apply some common sense. Loads of folk complaining, does my head in.
On a brighter note I've just got home from my open, dry gym...

Pukka let me know how them tyres go am considering the same. My boots weighed down with my survival kit. Planks of wood incase i get stuck, grit, shovel, broom, WD40 cos my lock keeps sticking, kit-kats (cant wait to break dowm

), spare boots, blankett, clothes, water, deicer, screen wash, jump leads Ermmm thats it. COMMON SENSE. Oh and my car wears its own little coat over night so i dont have to stand and freeze de icing it on a morning.

pre-icer works good to save you having to scrape the windows in the morning.
so far so good with the tyres Sab, they dont look great, but its winter, so i guess can put up with ugly boots, lol.
I just got the front two and left the normal tyres on the back. the rubber is a lot softer, handeling is slightly different, feel like I cant chuck it about as much as on my other tyres, but then to be fair, in winter its probably best not to throw your car round corners. they definatly feel alot more "grippy" on the straight, going down hill on patchy snow/ice was like being on normal roads, and the breaking is a lot sharper. so far looks like they are worth the money, but will update when it next snows as so far ive only got to test it out on patches of snow.

What ez said. Studded tires are always better than friction tires, let alone summer tires, for the winter conditions in Northern Europe. They make a big difference in handling.
I love snow but what slowly starts boiling my blood is everincreasing amount of it. They've promised yet another 20cm snow today, like we didn't have enough of it already.
