CAD programs make my blood boil... gotta run through three programs before one decides it will let me export the file type i need for laser cutting. frustrating much?!

well i usually use NX 5 which is more for my engineering stuff, as it has FEA and such.

but last night installed solidworks, which didnt get it right... then i finally got Catia which worked a treat

But i usually use NX5 and 3DS Max, havent used maya or rhino yet but probably will soon with uni.

Getting to know and use loads of different packages is a headache.
I'm glad I've only got one 3D package then hopefully I'll get to the back of it some day and get the most out of it.

I remember solidworks. Bitch and a half sometimes. That and autoCAD did my head in enough. Can't imagine the pain of four simultaneously.

urghhh I had a play around with autoCAD at my cousins boss' workshop, gave up after 10minutes lol

lol i got my gf autocad, and had to show her how to do stuff which did my head in, because i didnt know shit about it or how to use it, only had to fiddle around from the knowledge of my other programs.... now after a semesters class she is a PRO and teaches me things lol


yer these programs really do ya head in, especially when you encounter errors in certain things and no matter how much you crawl the net you will never find the solution..

i taught myself 3ds MAX in my final year of highschool, used it for these photorealistic renderings of my laptop design, boy that took up my life trying to learn that. But it was worth it cos those skills are really handy now at University.

Went to the in-laws yesterday for thanksgiving lunch and found my dead beat brother in law was using one of my AZX consortium boxes as storage. Can't for the life of me remember if the Goodfoots came with extra laces, so if someone has them and can let me know, I'd be much obliged, cause if they did, well, they're fucking gone now.

Tis my birthday on saturday and i've been hinting at 'er indoors' to hook me up with the grey vins.
I thought i was on track to bagging em until yesterday when she said:
'Im not buying you any bloody trainers cos you get enough of them yourself, so it's not gonna be anything special.'
