Ferrari and Toyota threatening to pull out if budget cuts come in next year.
If that happens, it'll be a sad day.
Not liking the direction the acid midget is taking his Formula One monopoly.
Time for a conflicting race series ?

I meant this year, Streak. We were close to having next year's points system this year, if you remember back to the beginning of the season.

No way will Ferrari pull out of F1. Toyota, maybe, but not the Scuderia. Enzo would roll over in his grave.

This is typical posturing by Max with the expected response by the teams.

Don't underestimate his (and Bernie's) desire to break up the FOTA relationship. He knows there's no way the big teams will go for a two-tiered system, and he knows the small teams (eg Williams) would be more than happy to have a budget cap. This could potentially cause some infighting.

I don't see why there's the strong desire now to have a bunch more new teams in F1. It wasn't so long ago we had an overfull grid, with such luminaries as Larousse, Zakspeed, Lola etc...and it was all a bit crap.

Is Williams a small team ?
I thought they had quite a hefty budget.

Yes, Williams is a small Team now. In the early years they where much bigger with more succes and money. I've read that Bernie gave them an advance at the beginning of 2009. Without that money the would not be able to start the session.

not to mention they're losing that RBS money at the end of the season.

I miss the early to mid 90's when Williams totally dominated. The FW14B is my favourite F1 car ever.

Word. Scary incident, that. Just what we didn't need to see after young Surtees' passing.

Am I the only one who thinks publishing the weights following qualifying pretty well tells you who's going to win the race?

Just found the '06 F1 game for PS3 so going to have a go this afternoon. Come on Fernando!

Man I haven't been up to date with F1 in like a good 3 year now. I remember staying up so late to watch all the races on Speedvision. I wish the Canadian GP would come back. With my being in NYC, I would def make the trip up to go see it.

Its not looking good for Massa, still early days but they think he may never race again, shame as he was one of the good guys!

Yeah, bad luck for him. Still could've been a lot worse.

I wonder who they'll put in the car and why they didn't run the reserve driver on Sunday.

I hear that Villeneuve is looking for a drive (hahahahahahaha!)
