You what?? I think it is fair to call little lewis WC given how close he came last year and the fact he won this year. Respect where respect is due.

why does he deserve to be called world champion? both he and Massa made a lot of stupid mistakes this year (Lewis leaving the pits in Canada only to run into a stationary car - is that WC material?), but they have the fortune of being in the best cars with team mates who are either a lot slower (Heikki) or decided to just phone it in (Kimi). Neither is really deserving of the World Championship, because neither are the best drivers.

I reckon that Alonso and Kubica are better drivers.

What does the World Championship mean anyway, when a driver like Sterling Moss never won it, whereas Piquet won it 3 times?

^ i see you're point zwer, alonso definatly the best for me, hamilton will be in a few years when and if he irons out the mistakes, kubica's a class act but the real class of the field is mr vettel, future wc Very Happy

If you ignore lewis' stupid mistakes, which can to some degree be put down to his age i.e. lack of patience and newness in the top flight, then he has been the most consitently performing driver pretty much for two seasons. Also if he can make these mistakes yet still score enough points to be WC against the best drivers in the world then surely he deserves the crown.

Personally I would much rather watch a season where mistakes are made and the championship remains tight than one driver dominating from the outset and closing it out 3 races from the end.

Hear hear to that.
I mostly find it pretty fucking boring though.
They should introduce Stuart Hall type elements at random times throughout the race.
Like dropping a giant foam castle on the track on lap 10 and so on.

Well they have tried everything else to liven it up for this season so don't rule it out!!!

There's been elements like that over the years that have definitely livened up the races. Like the fella who ran onto the track at Silverstone (same guy who did it at the Athens olympics during the marathon, Father Neil something or other) or the guy who ran onto the track at Hockenheim, or the advertising hoarding that fell in front of Alesi at Brazil...
