Certainly does appear to be what they are trying to do.
The Union replacements are clearly a different colour cos the mauve would alienate too many people in the mainstream that these are clearly aimed at.

Some of 'em do look strangely similar but who says they are called Consortiums ?
Surely it's just Adidas recreating, what turned out to be, some of the best colours for years.

nobody said they were called consortiums - i dubbed them the "poor man's consortium's", as in a more accessible way for most of us to get the nice colourways that have previously appeared on consortiums. I agree about the best colours for years though, especially the "Tate's" and the "UNDFTD's"

In the original blurb about these, they are called the 'next stage of the Consortium Series'. So I guess he is right in his description.

The "wannabe D-Mops " are on their way apparently.
This series doesn't come anywhere near the original consortiums, but are really nice kicks in their own right.
Here's the official description on the TLUX's (not really a LUX either are they? Just nice TL's)-

"The superstar has been inspired by the Consortium Series from the 35th Anniversary collection of this incredible adidas icon."

Could be but they looked more blueish (could be the picture?) with thin laces, no jewel and not sure if they had the trefoil logo on the back outside of the shoe. Were the others samples?
