i was gonna pm this but thought that may seem underhand.

RE my selling query thread:

not being funny but "do a search" doesnt answer the question i had imo.

if you look in my 35th adicolor thread in the for sale forum i want able to post a proper " link " to my ebay auction and you cant do that - in fact there are no post buttons such as attach image, indent link etc as there are in all the other forums.

Whilst im not overly assed about the whole thing it seems a little off imo that just because certain people may be gazumped or beaten in an auction that no ebay auctions can be linked to. I was under the impression that this was a community which shares a great wealth of knowledge and the banning of ebay links goes completely against that.

What say i want to bid on a pair of shoes on ebay but are unsure they are fake - can i link to that auction ?

Ill assume the answer would be yes as the consensus is that everyone helps each other out

BUT - what if the same pair of kicks i ask for a verification on turn out to be genuine and a bargain - others may bid on them , and ill live with that - aint the end of teh world

anyway what im saying is

A - i still cant post a proper link to my own auction Smile

and

B - what happened to sharing this huge wealth of experiance thats on here ?

not trying to rock the boat but it does all seem a little childish and going against the nature of the forum

What happened to the image function on the buy/sell thread?
I've just listed two pairs for sale and was unable to post pics, instead i've had to post the link, but you have to cut and paste it to your browser to view them.

Well if they is fake, we'll tell ya.
If they turn out to be real, we'll delete the thread after telling you.
If you post a link to your auction and say so, we won't delete it.
Sound fair ?

sounds like a lot of pointles hard work - whats to say that a moderator doesnt want the kicks and bids on them lol ?

believe me i know how annoying it is when a user questions the mods / admin descisions having run a large forum myself for a fair few years, but i can see the other side of the coin and i can see that this ebay link banning does more bad than good for the majority - unless the whole idea of the foum is to keep the gems away from the minions etc ?

anyway - a solution in my eyes would be for an EBAY Auction forum - maybe a sub forum of the for sale one or maybe a seperate one - but one just for ebay auction ( of trainers / cars / bizarre stuff etc) then its up to the user who initially sees an auction wether or not he wants to post it up or not and its somewhere for users who are listing there own stuff on ebay to link to

Posting Ebay links isn't allowed at all on some forums so at least we're meeting half way.
There was a problem with bigging up auctions that people on here might have been bidding on so I think it's a good thing and so do the Management.

obviously no point arguing but it does seem the majority are losing out so the minority benefit

regarding bidding up auctions - if people just put the maximum they wanted to pay when they see an auction instead of waiting to the end then everyones on a level playing field and everyone gets a fair crack at the whip

Yeah but lots of people don't roll like that.
I for one sure as fuck don't.
Life ain't fair.
If people want trainers they should be prepared to go looking for them and not hope to get leads off people on nice Soup related forums.

Very Happy

I love a bit of sniping. I see what i'm after, set up my snipe and leave it alone till after the auction. No more sitting at the computer hitting refresh waiting for those dying seconds.

as a buyer i snipe

as a seller i hate sniping lol.

but regardles ofif im sniping or not - i bid the highest price i can afford - if i get out bid then that life innit - if i win the whoo Smile

and more to teh poin if someone off here wants to pay more for the trainers than i do then thats fair enough, i wouldnt see the point in moaning cus id been outbid by someone who was prepared to pay more than me as thats the nature of an auction

At the end of the day your only as good as your highest bid.

Yeah true but by bigging up an auction more people become aware of it where they might not have.
Result, I end up with more people to bid against.

Resulkt, I end up with more people to bid against.

so your personal choice in that situation would be not to post a link in the ebay forum, but if youve seen a pair of kicks that you allready have then why not Share that link with the rest of the guys and gals on here ?

thats where an ebay forum would be perfect
